2012 Mustang GT, does yours do this??
Not only that, but when your actually driving the car and redline it, both gauges will actually flash red to get your attention.
Do you need to any setting adjustment for that light to go off like that?

It will only do it if your lights are on. As I recall, the temperature and oil pressure gauges will also do this if the temp is too high or the oil pressure is too low, but again, only if your lights are on.

My 2011 auto does this. OP, do you know about engineering mode ?
Hold reset when you start it up. When it says engineering test mode you release reset. It will do a guage test and your speedo and rpm needles will go wonky. Then you use input to cycle through until you get to the digital speedo.

I do however know that your fuel gauge will light up red if your running a tad bit low..
