So, leaving the keys in a running Mustang, by a relative, unattended in the street.

Can anyone tell me why this cousin is still driving his own Mustang, while the OP is not???

I think so too. It seems there's a lot of things out of place of procedure from insurance to police. Stolen is stolen.

And if it was an alleged 'acquaintance' then why haven't the police found him and questioned him? Because he was a random thief that outran them and then got away. As in a criminal!

I understand no stolen report. I don't understand no report. There was definitely a lot of paperwork for this incident. I don't get how that wouldn't suffice for the insurance company. I remember the OP too. Sorry to hear about all this. I wish I could buy the car off you!

**** man...that truly sucks. Did the chase start in Chesterfield? PM me when you get a chance.
on a side note, im in Chesterfield....if you don't get it repaired. Going to be doing a Coyote swap on my 1998 Cobra. Would definitely be interested in the engine.

I was just busting your *****, I apologize if my response offended you. Sorry for your $HITTY luck... I'm curious to know who is going to be held responsible for the damage to the building that the thief crashed into with your car?!?! IF they knew your car was left runing with the keys in it can they come after you or your cousin for negligence?!? If your insurance company is trying to snake out of covering your car, who will be held accountable for the property damage since they didn't catch the BA$TURD?!? I often leave my car running as I go into the gas station to get a soda, I probably will stop doing so based on this experience.

I think the OP has posted in the past, he had 7 pages of infractions on his driving record. So maybe, he didn't have any insurance at the time??????

I followed his #8 fail (Brenspeed tune) thread and I don't ever remember a comment like that. Besides, he said he's talking to his insurance. How would he get an adjuster out if he didn't have insurance? Maybe you should read a little closer.
