You already know what you want, don't fight it.

For a DD, the GT500. Although I would recommend something else if it's just for a DD. I use my GT as a DD, and the Roush for fun.

I think the answer is contained in your screen name. If it were me that was buying one of those 2 to drive everyday and wouldn't be going to the track , it would be the top dawg. GT500. Great handling, brutal power, lots more options for comfort and convenience, and everyone that sees it knows its not something to mess around with, lest you get bit. Heck, even if I was going to the track it would still be the GT500.

However, I don't see this ending well, so.....IBTL!

I guess I should be more clear.I have my dodge ram for my daily driving.I have a 69 Z28-RS for went I want to cruise around at 8 miles to the gallon.I was looking for something fun to drive that I could take on a trip if I wanted.

I would go for the GT500. It's got the power and creature comforts. If I was using the car simply for track days every weekend, then the Boss would be my choice.

If you want a new car without many options like SYNC, Navi, Bluetooth, dual zone climate etc, then the BOSS is a good choice. However if you cannot live without plugging in a iPod or Zune then the GT500 is the better choice. Both will perform well on any type of track and the BOSS may do really well as compared to the heavier GT500 but it will still come up a bit short in many performance categories. The GT500 costs more but you get a bit more for $45k-$50k.

I personally would love to purchase a BOSS if it had the options as the other mustangs. However it doesn't so no need to argue or wish or hope.

GT500

I had been ready to buy a Boss, but with the difficulty in finding one, and with the tranny issues, I'm now looking at GT500's.

I don't think you can go wrong with either... but I find it hard to imagine how the things that make the Boss so great will hold up over the long haul. Even if it withstands the wear and tear, it might lose some of its charm.

I'd take the one with the TR6060

There's nothing like that mountain of torque for a daily.

I use a GT for DD and it's plenty, but if I had the money I'd drive a Shelby as a DD, just couldn't bite the 20000$ bullet on top of the GT

I have a 2012 GT as my DD, and just as mentioned, if I could have convinced the wife to drop the extra coin, I'd be driving a Shelby, no questions.

Get it, and post lots of pics.

I hear that, I ordered it and everything but the price!!! My plan was to walk in there and pay in full, the Shelby was just too much so I reordered a 2011 GT premium, over all I am happy with the out come

We have tranny issues of our own so don't make it your deciding factor. This is my second GT500 with the first being a 2010. If I had to do it again I'd have got a GT as a DD. Just less worries about someone messing it up.

GT500 for sure, just having sync is great for daily driving so you have hands free phone.

What tranny issue? ...and why so worried about someone messing with it? I've never even thought once let alone twice about someone doing something to it, all I get a props and thumbs up all day long.
