2011 Rough Shifting MT82 Fixed!
I'm curious if a synthetic fluid such as this one would also alleviate some of these issues with the trans?

While this all sounds great and its nice you're satisfied with the upgraded performance of the trans, I'm just wondering what the long term effect is if any. I would certainly hope this "modified" lubricant mix wouldn't cause premature trans wear/failure. Just a thought.
Thanks
That's why I'm recommending we all bring the cars into the dealer and let FORD diag the issue and (if necessary) add the friction modifier vs. OWNERS doing it ourselves. We are all within the warranty period. If anything goes wrong, you wouldn't want a dealer implying it was because of something YOU added to the tranny fluid. This should all be documented. There is a VERY VERY exact mixture of fluid/friction modifier used in the rear end... only Ford knows what that mixture is for the transmission.

I have to 100% agree with this. This additive is only meant to be used, in very, very small quantities in differentials. If you have a transmission failure, and they tear it open and can someone test to find out there was friction modifier in there, that you added yourself..I can see them denying the warranty claim without a second though.
Wow. It's even better today. I'm really flabbergasted. The shifter had some slight notch going into 2nd this morning for MAYBE the first 2 shifts... but it was 39 degrees out here this morning. Then, loose as a goose. No joke: you can shift it with your pinky. The car is SO much more enjoyable to drive now. In fact, it makes me want to get a steeda shifter but I'm going to wait a while to make sure this REALLY did fix the problem once and for all.

Ford, issue a TSB please. Maybe they won't afterall, it's more costly for them to have everyone bring in their 5.0 'Stangs under a TSB, they'd rather have you bring in the car under warranty on a one to one basis through their dealership networks.
Has anyone else had this done and it worked? My transmission has a very slight Supercharger whine occasionally and the lockout at high RPMS..
Im just wondering if this additive will stop the whine? And I dont mean from me ..

Take it to the dealer. The additive or QDC helps with notchy shifts, not whine. FYI, some VERY slight whine is normal in most manual transmissions.
