2011 Mustang Slipping Slightly When Coming to Complete Stop... PLS Help
Ok I bought a 2011 Mustang GT with 6 speed manual transmission about 5 months ago. It had 12k miles on it and now has almost 20k miles. Hasnt had any problems until a few days ago when I was coming back from a 400 mile trip to florida. I noticed that when I come to a complete stop right at the very end of the stop it will slip slightly as if I hit a patch of ice. Almost like the ABS was acting up. Also it seemed like the car jerked back when I stopped too, like leaned forward then popped back. Otherwise the brakes work great and I dont see any other issues when driving at all. I looked at the brakes and they look fine and I doubt they are worn down considering I only have 20k miles and drive it very gently. I need some help though because I am not sure what this is and really hope its not something major.

Also if I ease into the brakes very slowly and take my foot off the brake right as the car stops completely it wont do it, its only if I hold down the brake even after the car stops. Then it acts like its slipping slightly....

Not quite sure I understand what is happening but it sounds like ABS issues. I'd have it checked out but the dealer asap. Should be warrantied. I haven't heard of this problem.

That to me sounds like the ABS system/pump is causing the problem. The ABS system pumps fluid in/out of the master cylinder, based on pressure applied to the brakes, along with the speed monitors at all four wheels to deterimine if the wheels are locking.
If it were me, I'd have this part checked by a qualified brake specialist. You could remove the front and rear wheels one at a time and inspect the wheel sensors to make sure there is no dirt or other debris on them. They could be giving the ABS system a false reading. Usually though, if this were the case, you'd have an ABS warning light indicator on the dash.

I havent had any indicator come on the dash saying anything was wrong but I can feel it. Its not major but definitely noticeable. Also my factory warranty is up but I got a ford warranty through them that is bumper to bumper except wear and tear items, but dont think this would count as wear and tear cuz I only have 20k miles on it. It literally feels like car hits a small patch of ice right as it comes to a complete stop. And I dunno if its in my head but it seems like the car rocks back a little more than normal also when I get to a complete stop, as if I broke hard but didnt.

Welcome to the forum! My name is Deysha with Ford Service and I think you should still have a Ford Dealer check it out to make sure there’s nothing else going on. Your service manager is in the best position to look into this for you and can check into any warranty, assistance, recalls, or customer satisfaction programs that may apply to your vehicle.
Also, remember most repairs done at a Ford Dealer come with a 24 months/unlimited miles warranty. You can schedule an appointment online here.
