2011 Mustang GT front bra?

Anyone have one? I am going on a long highway trip and want to protect it from rock chips and bugs.

Do these newer ones actually work, I've seen some that cause more damage than good. I found 2 on autoanything.com

I've heard from several people that these are great fitting and very high quality. Basically the inventor of the car bra, been in business for 40 years, made to order, and still made in the USA.

If I decide to get one, it'll be from them.

Joe: I have a 2011 GT500 and when I take long trips on the highway, I use a Colgan bra. It fits well and I have not had any ill effects or damage. I take it off upon arrival at my destination, and install it upon return. I've used Colgan bras on all my past Shelbys and Mustangs with no issues. Colgan is the best one out there.

Thanks for the note 03reptile. I am definatly going to look into getting a Colgan bra when the time comes. I forgot all about this company and I have heard that they are the best out there for front end protection.

Using a bra for road trips will be fine. Its the people who keep them on for months and years at a time, will find rub marks on their paint.

Well, I leave tomorrow for Tulsa Oklahoma, and in such short notice I guess I will be using blue painters tape. It will look insanely stupid but I don't care.
$3.00 roll of tape
$300.00 repaint bumper

I use the 3M clearbra and it works great. Can hardly tell its there and it's well worth the $.

I would recommend full bumper coverage and bikini cut hood and fender kit with mirrors. I also recommend the a-pillars and front section of the roof plus the section behind the rear wheels. 3M and Nano are great films. Use Xpel patterns. Hope this helps.

Just made arrangements to have this done to my 2012 GT Kona Blue. Visited the shop in the Bronx and spoke to one of the detainers and owner at Executive Paint Protection. Did a lot of research to find the right shop after I decided to go with the clear bra. Have less than 1000 miles on the 5.0 so didn't want to wait too long. Should be done the end of next week. I'll post pics.

Sorry to resurface an old topic.

Now would any of you guys recommend the Colgan Bra for use on long interstate driving during trips only. I'm taking a trip late this July and have been shopping around for some form of protection that will not damage the paint in any way. I don't like the 3M Clear Bra because I still want to be able to glaze and polish the paint in the future and don't really like the idea of sealing the paint under a sticker.

My only options that I've seen are the Road Wrap, the Colgan Bra, or the classic 3M Painters Tape (which left residue all over my sisters 2006 GT but in the end still protected the front end). What would you guys recommend?

Been using Colgan bra on my Acura CL for seven years... fits great, the only problem is that two of the plastic hooks on the elastic retainer straps broke after about three years... made up replacements out of thin coat hanger wire, so no biggie... Still fits fine, and ordered a Colgan from autoanything.com for my GT.
