Do I smell slightly better mileage than initially rated for the V8? Wherever that came from, it says up to 26 MPG for the V8. I'm hoping to see slightly better mileage than the original estimates, similar to how the V6 worked out. Estimates were 16/24 for the manual and 17/25 for the auto. I'm thinking officially maybe more like 17/25 manual and 17/26 auto.

I thought stick shift got better MPG than auto trannys? Why are the autos being rated for better fuel economy?

Both the V6 and 5.0 are rated better in the auto tranny. It is because of better control over the shift points and gearing to speed. I am sure that the new 6R80 is going to be shifting up pretty quickly at part throttle to get the revs down as soon as possible to get that good mileage and converter lockup will be the same way.

It will be interesting to drive one, may be not the best feeling as far as performance.

Get the auto tranny if MPG is a concern, get the manual to go fast.

Now, if they get their act together some day and come up with a really slick double-clutch automated manual gearbox, that will be the ultimate setup!

A few possible errors in there though ...

Message center is std on all models per pg 1 (& Order Guide), yet it is an added feature to V6 & GT Premium.

Comfort pkg. still shown as including the EC Mirror w/ Compass, yet Outside Temp & Compass became std. in radio display on all models in 2010 and per 2011 Order Guide Auto-Dimming EC Mirror s/b std. on all Premium.

215 wide rubber is std. on all base V6, yet MT (per "tech-specs") was going to have 225 wide rubber std. and AT was going to have the 215. This surely could have been a change to simplify wheel/tire combos though.

All the pre-production MCA cars I've seen had the color keyed mirrors like the Pony pkg. & GT (and was mentioned in the MCA features list at the car shows), yet it was not mentioned in the Order Guide or this new publication.

I thought I'd seen a picture of a non-Pony pkg. 2010 V6 with HID Headlamps, yet this now says you not only have to get the Security pkg w/them but you also got to get Pony or MCA.

Ok, now I'm nit-picking ... they call out "Automatic Headlamps" in the MCA pkg. but "Auto On/Off Headlamps" in Pony pkg. right next to it and then on the following page in the GT specs.

Yes, I'm bored ... thanks KEVIN for posting it !!

Also the automatics are double overdrive. The manual is single overdrive.

Yeah, but the top gear is almost the same, .69:1 auto, .65:1 manual, so the manual actually has the better highway cruise ratio.

And now it has been announced that the manual tranny 5.0 has the better highway fuel economy!

I noticed something that's different from the 2010. It may be a real change for 2011 or it might be an error in the document. With the 2010's you can use MyColor to program 125 colors for the gauges but the ambient lighting is limited to the 7(?) pre-programmed colors. This document says about ambient lighting "Available in any MyColor custom setting". It would be nice if it is true.
