2011 Magnaflow V6 street series cat-back

Magnaflow posted a video of their V6 street series cat-back. I think it sounds pretty good for a V6, a little pricey though at $875. I'm waiting to hear what their Axle Back Street Series is going to sound like though.

Hmm...

I think the stock exhaust sounds better than that. Stock exhaust sounds more V8-ish, deeper, throatier.

I like it better at idle than when it took off.
Here's a short video of my stock V6 I took earlier using the remote start, so no revs.

Yup, still like the stock exhaust better than the magnaflow.

I have the cat-back dual kit on my '10 V6, and it sounds pretty much like that. Very good at idle... not so good revving it up, but good again with hard acceleration through the gears. Especially 3rd and 4th. American Muscle prices were the lowest ones I saw for Magnaflow.

They have two different catbacks. Search "2011 Mustang V6 Magnaflow" on YouTube and you can hear the difference. One is definitely deeper/throatier (is that a word? Lol) than the other.

But the Magnaflow is a lot louder, isn't it? The video on YouTube (like a lot of videos) are recorded right behind the exhaust, so of course it sounds louder.

I could be wrong.

'11 may be different... but without any question the Magnaflow is much louder than the stock '10 V6.

I got it more for looks than anything else, but the sound makes me happy.

I like the Magnaflow 15717 system on my '04 with the 4" Dia x 14" long mufflers before the axle. Kit 16575 for the '05-10 uses the same style mufflers AFTER the axle and assumed it would sound similar.

Magnaflow site states they are using 4 x 9 x 14" "oval" mufflers for the 3.7L ... for me half the reason I'd get Magnaflow for my car would be to get the round mufflers (like '05-10 system) to eliminate the ugly oval shaped mufflers hanging below the diaper. Not going to replace ugly with ugly !!
