Getting 26K but mine only has 5500, auto, premium. I do not know many dealers that use KBB. Most use the Black Book.

I used edmunds up here in MN. They seem to be more realistic on the numbers. Also with the last rental from Ford they had what they use to grade cars in it. They use three pricing places and then what they think they can sell it for. With gas prices going up I doubt good numbers for the GT's are going to be easy to get.

Most financial institutions use NADA for value, so I'd suggest them over KBB. I'm curious to see what the dealers would give me for mine.

This is interesting. There is not a single 2011 GT on autotrader for less than ~$25k. Seems like that if they were offering you guys so little there would be some selling for less.

Above $25k I might as well wait till the $3k rebates come back and pick up a brand new one.

Seems like dealers use the rough/average trade in value for the car, even if the car is in mint condition. If you don't like what they offer, walk. Chances are they'll come up a bit to compromise somewhere.

edmunds, kbb calculations are off for the mustang becuase of the early model year starts for the stangs. your 2011 is actually a 3 model year old car with 11s, 12s, and new 13s available now. where their calculations are based around the idea it is only 2MY old because it is an 11. you can find similar, projection/actual differences for most of the off cycle launches. like others said black book takes a snapshot of the auction results. some good dealers will just show you the auction report and let you see they are not BSing. That is what happened to me when i went to trade in my '10 this winter. edmunds was telling me 23 but the best offer i got was 20.

It would probably be cheaper to add heated seats and an aftermarket head unit that integrates with Sync.

Given Ford's crappy support for the Nav units, it's probably a better idea anyway.

dealer should be able to get you less than that with decent credit closer to 2-2.9

Just traded a '10 GT Premium, auto, comfort package, w/14000 miles for a '13 here in North Carolina. All the sites mentioned were a little over $22,000 on the trade-in. Problem is that resale prices in my area are all over the board w/ most being below KBB and Edmunds dealer prices. So I finally settled for $20,500. With the taxes (3%) in North Carolina that's the same as $21,100 if I sold it myself. We made the deal, and I don't have the worries of selling before the new one arrives. It's extremely tough to get what we call book on trade-in's sometimes. Good luck.

I just sold my 08 GT/CS in December for $21,500....12,000 miles....it is worth your time to money to sell it outright. I am going to list my 2001 GT in the next week or so starting at $9000

I wonder what my trade in is on a 2012 Boss with 1,700 miles?

I contacted the dealer I bought mine from, they said they are getting a 13 Boss and Shelby.

The said If I contact them with a build on a new one they will give me an idea how bad their going. To bend me over..

Unreal, I traded my 2012 for a 2013 after having it for only 6 months. I got some more expensive options on the 2013 but my payments are still about the same as the 2012. I had to put another $2K down to cover the options, but I think it's actually a good deal. Try it and see what they say!
