So today I made my first runs ever on the 1/4 mile, and I have to say I did better than I expected. However, I was not able to achieve the sub 13 second mark as many have discussed. My first two runs were 13.3-13.4 seconds (107 mph), and my last two were 13.7(105-106 mph). My times deteriorated with everyone else as the surface got more sticky and traction was more difficult. The car ran consistently though, and I don't believe I could post better numbers unless it were cooler outside, took some air out of the tires, and ran with a quarter tank of gas.. Temp was 80 degrees, full tank of gas, stock everything, AT, and full air in the tires. Can anyone say they've posted much better numbers in these or similar conditions? How about with the MT? For the record, I had better times than any other GT there

 

not bad runs, how does that compare to your 03 mach 1? did you ever run that one?

 

Nope, never ran it. Yesterday was my first day ever running the 1/4. I'm guessing the Mach 1 would have ran 14-15 seconds. It was AT, but I don't think it shifted as well as the MT during those years.
