2011 GT Fuel Economy > 2010 V6 Accord Coupe Fuel Economy

At least for manual transmission.

17/26 GT vs 17/25 for V6 accord manual.

Although I imagine the V8 will be worse due to the temptation to hit high RPMs. Plus premium fuel.

BUT STILL! Not bad.

if i recall correctly, and i have been known to be wrong ... a lot, the auto for the 5.0 on regular is rated at 17/25 matching the manual accord.
though, as most will likely find, their mpgs may be *cough* slightly *cough* *hackupafurball* less due to their driving style ... well ... due to having a 302 ci v8 and 400+ hp as opposed to ... well ... an accord.

The premium fuel thing doesn't phase you after a few fillups. On a 16 gal tank, you're looking at about $3 more per fill. Don't get a coffee or have a beer and that means nothing.

Wise thinking. In order to make minor adjustments to help cushion the new car note I bought a coffee maker for the new house instead of hitting the gas station every morning. Saving about $20/week (between my wife and me) AND it's actually fresh.

You don't have to use premium fuel in the Mustang, it will run fine on horse **** regular and you only lose 10 HP.

Yes, but there are people who will run premium in it just because they can.

Yeah, but that was one of the negative comparisons in the first post.

I ran 93 in my 2003 Accord Coupe V6 with the 6 speed manual. Honda engineers said the computer would adjust and give a 10HP boost. It's funny a new GT gets better gas mileage then I did in that car.

Good luck EVER seeing those MPG numbers. We drive in the real world, some of us with feet much heavier than others.

Currently I drive a 2002 Honda V6 EX. I always assumed I was getting at least 17-18 mpg, but apparently, it's more like 15. Wowzers.

Yeah, that's about what I get on my '10 GT Auto. It's a daily driver and I hit almost every stoplight. I used to get a little better on my '07.
