2011/2012 issues holding anyone back??
You lucky dog. My first year in college I had an '84 Oldsmobile Firenza. It had the 80 horsepower "junkyard" engine. I remember reading it was called that because they made if from parts from other engines. It also came stock with the GM trick throttle that was wide open by the time your foot was only half way to the floor. That way it felt reasonably responsive on a test drive, but heaven help you when you had to merge on to a highway or tried to pass someone on a two-lane. I had to take it back for the "morning sickness" recall too.
Funny thing was, the J-body cars were the ones GM said would drive the Japanese back to the shores, or something like that. I wound up buying imports for many many years after that car. Thankfully Ford got me buying American again.
