2010 Shelby with the Top Down...
This is a blast looking at these pics and visualizing the final product, it never gets old to me. That said, based on what I've seen so far, I surprised that I like the GT more than the Shelby....love those Shelby Rims though...
That is also the first thing that came to my mind when I seen the new Shelby nose which is just horrible and obnoxiously bulbous. Obviously ugly is in vogue... Just like 1959...
Does anyone think the taillight section on the shelby looks like it might be moving back to the old 05 Concept style taillights? I noticed a very square section and they could easily be covering a few lights with that camo.

Front is looking pretty nice overall, at least through the camo paint. The overall shape of the front grills is actually not that different from the current GT500, even if executed in a somewhat different way. Looks like it may have the now ubiquitous fender vent to better reflect its familial relationship with that paragon of performance, the Focus Coupe.
Wheels look great, very clean yet appropriately strong looking.
Hips are rather subtle, nothing like the scale of the Camaro or Challenger's haunches, but Ford was probably limited by the constraints of the existing/underlying S197 structure and greenhouse.
Rear end is the least successful aspect in my opinion, seeming somewhat lumpy and overstyled in the tail lights and bumper areas. Those black valance panels seem a bit oversized as opposed to the nicely done rear end of the current GT500. It's a bit too much of simply being different for difference's sake rather than actually being better, a typical affliction of many a chassis's mid life refresh.

I'm not liking it as much as the GT. They made the fish mouth even larger it seems or looks larger with the shorter headlights. and the hips are definatly smaller in the vert.
hmm that hood looks wicked good. I hope the 5.0 mustangs will have a sweet looking hood or maybe a choice of two? In any case I do like the look of the GT more although the gt500 looks amazing as well...
Man. I can't decide. I like each one equally for it looks excellent in it's respective catagory. Again, with the GT500 wheels, WOW. Not too much but it says everything.
Oh yeah. They do! Good memory.
Anyone else notice that the stripes, rear medallion and fender badges were all covered up? I don't think we're talking about a GT500, but something meaner, maybe a GT600? I mean the current gen GT500 had 500 hp so with a bump in hp (expected), why couldn't we see a different name? If it was a GT600, that'd put it almost 200 hp over the SRT8 and the SS. I know the GT500 is a legendary Mustang name but if Ford trumps the Chevy and Dodge boys with about 200 more hp, don't you think they'd flaunt it?
Oh and how's that for everyone who said Ford doesn't put enough power to compete with the Camaro and now the Challenger.

Well, I don't know about a GT600, but if it were anything besides a GT500, I would hope for a BOSS or Mach 1. More reasonably however, it would be FANTASTIC if this were the actual GT and the the "GT" pics we've seen so far were the V6. Neither are probably true though. I figure it's just the GT500 like we all assumed all ready.
