In architecture, a flying buttress, or arc-boutant,is used to transmit the thrust of a vault across an intervening space (which might be an aisle, chapel or cloister), to a buttress outside the building. The employment of the flying buttress means that the load bearing walls can contain cut-outs, such as for large windows, that would otherwise seriously weaken the vault walls.

What's not to understand?

Yes, 599 GTB. Looks like Rossa Corsa/Tan.

I think what Sean was implying is that Steve there seemed quite interested in the flying buttress.

I can't wait to see the next iteration of Saleens, or Mustangs for that matter. I'm sorry guys the 05 was exciting at first, but now it just doesn't have the same edge. Still a Mustang lover none the less, but I'm excited what comes out of Dearborn's doors next.

Other than the fact that the Callaway came out this year, and the 599 was out over a year ago now.

I wouldn't mind seeing a more free-flowing designs come out of Saleen instead of their very angled approach.

Never a bad thing to see new ideas out of a relatively stable company.

After careful consideration, it is my learned observation that Doug (aka Topnotch) speaks in pictorial metaphors.

:whistles inconspiculously: Not that I edited my post because I made the same mistake with the name.

I changed, and I think I can hear the babies quieting down already...
