2010 Mustang Order Guide
Anyone know how fast the car is though? anyone? anyone?
Could be lighter than the outgoing car + the 3.73s... it'll be faster than the outgoing vehicle.
Everyones hung up on HP, and it'll still **ss all over most of the cars on the street.

Dont you think it will be comparable to the Bullitt's #'s when it comes to how fast it will be? Even if it weighs a little less it has to be close. Its basically a Bullitt in GT clothing.
ya we know the numbers already! Just look at the bullit tests in magazines and you will know. 0-60 MPH in 5 seconds and and the quarter mile in welllllll 13.5 seconds. There you go I just gave you the test. Oh an a stiffer handling suspension to complete the 2010 ford mustang. Now the magazines won't even have to wait to do a comparison. Just take their 400 hp challengers and Camaros and run them agianst the bullit. Guess what the verdict is..... Ford finishes last again. If I sound bitter its because I am. Don't bring an knife to a gun fight. I am a huge Ford fan and always have been I just wanted to actually compete this time. The good news is GM and Chrysler might not be around long enough to compete with a 2011 MY so Ford won't come up short there
No offense to anyone but I've driven my buddy's Bullitt and I wasn't blown away. It is a cool ride don't get me wrong. I just was expecting a little something more from it. Just like I was expecting a little more on the spread sheet for horsepower on the '10 GT.
Disappointing- I had hoped HP would be higher.
No interest in 2010 at all!
It's gonna be a 1 1/2 years before we see the 2011, 1 1/2 years until we get a real HP boost- but who knows, things may change and we might not see 400hp.
Well I'm gonna SC my 08 Bullitt so I can run with the Camaro's and Challengers that will be beating the crap out of Mustang GT's for the next year and a half.

I am going the SC route myself and I did not mean any disprespect to you or any other Bullitt owners by my earlier post. Sorry if it was taken that way. I was only making a comparison.

Wow folks. It wasn't that long ago that our beloved Mustang GT only put out 215 HP. And at the time, people were probably crying for 275-300 HP.
It's understandable that you may want EVERYTHING to be increased or better in this new car, but come on. It's no secret that Ford people browse message boards like these. They've addressed many complaints about the Mustang with the 2010 model. They are giving a bump (although not large enough for a LOT of people here) in HP immediately, followed by a much larger bump in the near future. They're offering performance packages as a factory option. The quality of the fit and finish and available features are at an all-time high for this car. When will people ever be satisfied with this car and this car company?
It could be much worse, you know. Our Mustang really could have turned into the Ford Probe and gone away much sooner than the Camaro/Firebird did.

According to KC's specs posted, it looks like the Mustang gained a bit of weight.

Motor's no surprise really. I thought maybe they'd bump it a touch more with a premium fuel tune to about 325-330, but basically, it's a carryover motor.
More interesting is the dual piston brakes with the 3.73 axle, with "performance pads" to boot. Perhaps now the Stang will be good for more than one or two hard stops in a row?
Most of the other changes seem to be stylistic and optional (non-performance) equipment, with perhaps the exception of the updated stability control system. I do imagine they retune the chassis a bit, but that too will likely be mostly carryover, for better (live axle for drag racers) or worse (live axle for road racers). My guess is that the current Bullitt may give a fairly good preview as to how the '10 will drive.
