2010 GT Exhaust Note?

is it just me or is a 2010 GT with stock mufflers quieter than a 2005-2009 GT with stock mufflers? i ask because i remember back in 2004 and 2005 when my dads 2005 GT was completely stock (including mufflers) i could always hear it pulling in the driveway no matter what, then with my uncles 2010 GT i cant even hear it pull in the driveway at all. the other day i BARELY heard it pull in. whats u guys take on it?

Id say they are the same. Don't forget the automatics have quieter mufflers. Im guessing yours is an automatic and dads was a 5 speed

I could swear that my stock 2010 had a slightly more aggressive sound over my stock 2009.

I don't know from the outside, but the 2010 has a more complex tone on the inside with windows down. I really like the way the exhaust burbbles on a downshift. The exhaust sounds pretty loud on start up inside the garage, about the same as the 2006.
I do know that with my 2006, it was much quieter with the stock intake than the cold air kit, very noticeable when getting on it. Everything is still stock on the 2010, so nothing to compare.

For 2010, ford made significant improvements in the sound deadining in the cabin. They might have also tweaked the mufflers.

I've only heard/driven the one 2010 GT, but it certainly seems louder (better) than a stock '09.....almost as nice as my '05 with Flowmaster axlebacks
