2010 GT to 5.0 badges?
The other day at Walmart a attractive woman in a Dodge Challenger RT backed into my 2010 Mustang GT and tore up the passenger side front panel , said she couldn't see over the Challenger back seat, right where the GT emblem sits, I took the Ford to the body shop recommended by my insurance company and they said they couldn't locate a "genuine " GT badge only a aftermarket one that isn't OEM but they have a 5.0 OEM badge from a 2011 they could put instead of the GT after the repair is made, should/could I do that? This is my first Mustang, previously had a 2013 Camaro SS that was stolen and never recovered in Los Angles used the insurance to get a Mustang

I've never wanted to impersonate a car I didn't have I just don't want plastic GT emblems on my car, I don't know why the body shop cannot locate a genuine metal OEM badge, I don't want to impersonate a Shelby with fake badges, that's about as nutty as a guy in a Vtec Honda thinking he's beating a Mustang GT because he's got a bookshelf size spoiler

GT badges or go home!
I am proud of my 4.6. It is a good and reliable engine! I like that it is a odd ball year. If you have to change them go with the 281 badges that are on my shaker scoop. You can get them at CJ pony parts or the 4.6 badges from American Muscle.

I didn't take a picture of the attractive woman , she was a looker for sure, I was more worried about my car than a woman who cannot "see" outside a back window when backing out, Dodge put drivers side mirrors for that purpose, she admitted fault , mistakes happen

I have her phone number and address, what's the opportunity? I suppose I could capitalize on a woman in a nice car who cannot drive worth a blank, fits right in with everyone else here and turn a 4.6 into a 5.0 based off body shop incompetence, maybe I'll call her and say I'm the guy you hit want to go to dinner?and tell the shop yeah put the 5.0 badges,I'll consider that

I definitely would not put 5.0 or Snake badges on my 2010 GT. I'd go for the OEM GT badge if available, or maybe one of those aftermarket "4.6 high performance" (which I don't really like) or best yet for me would be to "debadge it", meaning no badge at all. But I think that leaves a hole in the fender, which would probably cost extra for the body shop to fill, so probably not worth it. Plus it wouldn't match the other side.
