2010...
I've seen photos of some of the old mules from previous Ford models. It's comical as how different some of them look from the actual production vehicles.
Yep the GT has a very distinct look at night. 4 huge lights and the amber turning lamps below them stick out more than most vehicles at night. Its pretty menacing seeing one pull up behind you.
Looks Photoshopped
The horse is from the 2004 Concept
The wheels from the GT500KR
The mirrors look like the current car, not the new ones we've seen.
Looks great though
Article is kife though:
400hp 5.0L not 6.2L
Says 300hp 4.6 in 2010 and 4.0V6 as well.
Its like eons old news.

Top, you've seen it, would you call this close, not, or couldn't say (because it's that close)?
looks legit to me......look at the hips and the rocker pannels.....problem is...I dont really like it...

I don't like it either, as I was expecting to see real hips, and not just some stamped creases in the quarter panels. If this photoshop is any indication as to what the 2010 will look like. I'll just hold onto my current 2005, until the new GRWD platform arrives !
The article text says the 4.0 v6 powers the base version..........
uuuhhhh..............................
what about the new v6 everyone has been talking about for months?
The 3.5 Duratec?
And the GT - 6.2 liter???
I think this another case of a mainstream car mag that has their info wrong unless ALL the 5.0 talk recently has all been incorrect somehow

You're right, I completely missed the 6.2L mention. Their drivetrain info is flat wrong, period. And, unless Ford gave them a private photo shoot that NOBODY else was invited to, I'm skeptical on the images as well.

I'm going to side with Boomer on this. IMO, this is a Photoshop. The rocker panel, although blacked out, is noticeably devoid of the "swoosh" (for lack of a better term). Take a look at the latest spy shots, like the ones of the mule on the back of the truck, to see what I'm talking about.
And, as Boomer stated, the mirrors in the Car and Driver photo are definitely lifted off the current Mustang.

On the images:
The horse looks off-center
The shark-nose on the passenger's side looks paper-thin
The hood has a GT_500-style peak in front, the spy shots indicate a GT-stle flat front.
The bumper is 100% from the Giugiaro, down to the last detail, from the upper crease down.
Mirrors are wrong
There's lower turn indicators on the mules, out by the wheel wells. There are none here.
The rocker panel under the door is totally flat, in the Spy shots it's got creases/character lines
Handles in the Spy shots are on the upper crease, here they're above.
Both images have the exact same reflection on the side, but are supposedly 2 separate shots.
I call BS, could be wrong.
