2010 $2500 cash rebates
Yep, they don't want the cat outta the bag until it's time... for the very same reason they don't typically want to inform ya of new models... "I'll wait until (x) happens, THEN I'll buy." If you knew that another 500 was going to be offered... what you would do is then wait, and NO cars get sold...
Of course, if all they tell ya is the current incentives are going away... you reacted exactly that way... "Rats!" I do believe you said... as in "I'm gonna miss out!" And in a panic, off you go to buy.
MUAHAHAAAHAA*hack**cough*... er, sorry about that.
Wait until the 1st, and see what happens... the rebates may even be more, if not enough 2010s sold. Of course, there's no guarantees you *won't* miss out, and they say "ah, screw it... we'll sell them eventually." and don't offer any more rebates.
Kinda doubt that'll happen though. Kinda expect the rebate to be renewed for another month as is, to be honest.

yep, no big deal that the current incentives end, hopefully they will be replaced with something better . . . here in Mass they were doing $3,000 total rebate but $1,000 of that requred financing with Ford at about 6%; or $1,000 and 0%/60 financing . . .
if they come out with $3,000 rebate AND 0%/60, my waiting might be over!
