Don't get me wrong, I love the '13-'14 nose, hood, tail lights, etc. but I'm really happy with the looks of the '10 syle and I think it's aging incredibly well. IMO, it bridges the gap between the '05 retro cars and the all new '15 style perfectly...
IMO, the 2010-'12 look is a bit cleaner and sleeker than the '13 style...where as '13-'14 look a bit meaner.
Anyone else agree?
I'm cooling to the new S550 style as time goes by and I'm liking my 2011 more and more. I think this one may be the keeper.

I bought a 12 once the 13s came out and I saw them side by side. I think the opposite as you. The 13+ look sleek and sexy while the 10-12 looks "mean." I love them all though. Each has it's "wow" factors.
I just love the 13-14 tail lights. Some of the best taillights on any car IMO.
I do like the front of the cars on the 12s more when they are both stock. The lines of the hood of the 13s call for a scoop so bad.

And OP, don't even get me started on 2015. One word = hideous.

I think the '10-'12 cars look a little leaner, but the '13-'14 cars look meaner and nicer overall.
Honestly I think the '10-'12 cars won't age that well based on all the chintzy black plastic along the sides and the halogen headlights that most of them came with.
I still like both though, but for me it's all about the '13-'14...pure sex on wheels.

^ lol... exactly.
I love the gray plastic all around the car. Breaks up the paint. The body colored plastic on the 13-14s are actually the next thing I don't like about the car, after the front end and hood.
But we all have to remember, our opinions will forever be biased towards what we own. So, no wrong answer. We love our cars, period. And regardless of HOW it ages, good or bad, who in the end, gives a flying f if we intend to keep it? As long as we, the owners, love our cars, that's all that matters.

Personally I can't stand black sideskirts along the bottom of ANY car. Look at the 2015 Mustang which has them - wait 3-4 years til they do a cosmetic refresh and those will be body color or replaced with other body color pieces, and the '15 Mustang will be insta-dated.
I assumed your use of "chintzy" meant cheap and inferior. So I immediately thought of its ability to last. I just took it for another meaning than you intended.
I used to think the 13-14 were the best, but I met up with a buddy and he has a 12, it was a hard decision but granted, his was just waxed and mine is very dirty lol
I'll take a 10-12 with a 13-14 rear all day long. aggressive front, sexy back. the last of the muscle looking mustangs before it became a "world car" and got the euro treatment.
It's an interesting question, which years will age best over time. I'd give it time, though. Remember when the 1968 corvette came out? Well I do, and it was the biggest thing in automotives that year. It was like the 1963-1967 vettes were instantly WAY less desirable for several years. But as you know, over time those 1963-1967 cars became more valued and appreciated than any other years. They just aged magnificently. I think the 2010-2012 stangs are just like that.
2005 model aged badly, dont know why but looking at it it screams 2000's, the edges of the front look uninspiring, the wheel wells having that distinct " wheel arch" , while back still looks good to me, the tailights sometimes look "cheap" as if you can see each bulb through the reflector plastic if you look closely. While a car such as Challenger came out 2008 with a similar "full retro" , that car just doesn't age as bad as the 2005 mustang. Maybe because there is not another model of challenger to compare it to?
I still love the headlights on the 2010-2012, I just love those 2 yellow Blinker lights on each side. While I think the back of these cars will age badly compared to the 2013 model, Ford did small changes but it made a huge difference in my eyes on how the end of the car looks, many can say how they "fixed it" . Im one of those people that really hate the 2010 taillights, they just look so odd, so out of place, the lines don't flow with the back of the car, with that small angle on the bottom ,which they got rid off in 2013.
I like to see it this way, I see the 2010-2012 as our times 1969, while the 2013-2014 is the 1970 mustang of our times.

wow I'm surprised to see many of you guys share the same opinions between the 2010-2012 model year & the 13-14's! Thought I was one of the few considering it seems most people think the newest model years are in all cases better. There's always those bad years, not preferred and those couple years that are most sought after..that really had the balance of everything. Not a fan of the new front end, all the painted body pieces, the rear end (specifically the license plate area, lights and decklid) and that every model basically looks the same.
IMO ithas to be the 2010-2012, great balance of aggressiveness, modern, retro and in general a overall clean look. They really put all that together in the right places!
Ford has really started going modern, and is mostly due to the Mustang being sold globally. Has to appeal to even more people now then it did before..sorta like what Chevy did with the Camaro. The next thing you know the Mustang wont retain anything from the old original ones.
I still respect every year for what it is, just will always have my preferred ones.
