There are no bulbs in the cluster They are all LEDs. You can see this in the video here:

---

There is no drain for the axle. Gotta just yank the cover, leaving the top bolt on so it doesn't drop, and just barely pry it open so it lets the fluid out. Of course, you've broken the sealant, so once you do that you're gonna remove the cover, clean it and the axle housing, and reapply correct axle sealant and put the cover back on... So much fun.

If you're gonna be doing that a lot, you can get a cover with a drain on it, but they aren't exactly cheap...

Amazon Amazon

It'll work as well as the Ford stuff, or Toyota or Dodge or...

Point is, this is specially made to work with the gear oil and not get destroyed by it.

Be sure to scrape off the cover and the axle surface from any old material, but take care to not scratch the surfaces. And also don't bend the cover, that'd be bad.

There ya go, all the specs on the 8.8 axle in these here cars.

If you use all Ford materials, you'll need 3.15 pints of 75W-140 axle fluid, plus 4 ounces of Ford Friction Modifier Additive. You don't want to forget the additive. And lots of other makes will use that additive from Ford, as apparently its good stuff.

You can also find other brands of 75W-140 axle fluid, such as Royal Purple (I have that in mine) (nottasponsor) that has friction modifier additive in it. So you'd want to have a total of 3.375 pints of that, as that's what 3.15 pints + 4 ounces is. The other way that might work well is just fill the axle until the fill port starts to overflow, let it drip until done, then put the plug in and drive off. Of course, this is on the normal fill port at the pinion neck. Can't say that'd work with a fill port on the 'top' of the differential. Some will say don't do this. Some will say that's fine. I don't know, I'd just put in 3.375-ish pints in the thing and be done with it, m'self.
