'13 Blind spot side-views gone..

Got a set of 2010/'13 Boss side view mirrors & tossed the blind spot ones, cause hated them and they actually created a nice blind spot, under $50 for the set at my dealer.

I really don't see an issue with the blind spot ones. They are good on my '11.....of course, I never count on mirrors 100%, I always look too.

To each his own.

yep, always look, and after driving a '10 for 3 yrs they were very annoying and cover up cars that are in the lane next to you when merging

When I first got my car, I rarely used the blind spot part, as it was a feature I've never had before. Now, that is the only part of the mirror I use.

One of the best mods imo. Plan to do this first thing when I get mine.

I don't think people properly set their side view mirrors. In all my cars all my side view mirrors show my blind spots perfectly. I don't use them to see a long distance behind me, for that I use my rearview.

Nice! I hate those blindspot mirrors. I swear my brain refuses to register them as part of the mirror or as having a function, instead blocking them out and making the usable mirror smaller. I might have to do this too.

After a driving a panel van & bobtail for years, and backing into loading docks, you learn to depend on them and how to set them.

drove a box truck for a while.. you absolutely need them since you have no rear view mirror so they act as both.
on a car not so much, like Jay & sky said it's just a dead spot to me on the mirror & the whole thing should be set more toward the blind spots anyway and not for long dist behind you

they're simple enough to change any how, they just clip on to the adjuster assembly.. not like the old ones that were glued on

I think a lot of racers prefer seeing along the whole side of their cars in the side rear view mirrors, but they don't give a **** about blind spots, lol

Well, I'm on the opposite end and looking for spotter mirrors.

So if anyone wants to trade their spotters for non-spotters, let me know.

Cinque...looks good bro. Also lovin' your avatar. I remember when you and I didn't have our cars yet

but anyhow, I can't say I love or hate the blindspot mirrors on my 12. I just haven't gotten used to them yet. I should try to actually USE them. LOL.

The mirrors are just clipped on and can be pulled right off. The mirror housing on the other hand is what's bolted on. :jester
