'11 ordered/new to site!

Hi, I'm new to the site. Just ordered a 2011 5.0. Sold my '08 for a pretty decent amount and made the switch.

I was just wondering if the FRPP stingers would fit the '11?

Thanks in advance!

Congrats! I ordered mine several weeks ago....

I'm not sure about the exhaust. I would hold off untill you know for sure.

The 2010 Stingers should fit just fine. The thing is, they probably won't sound just fine on the new engine.

They might fit, but this engine will have 100 more HP then what they were designed for. They might be worse then the stock ones!

i dont think it has to do with a horsepower number, im 30hp at the flywheel short of having a 100hp(flywheel) more than from the factory and my Steeda mufflers(more aggressive version of stingers) sound just as great as when i first put them on. Its more from a design standpoint of the engine. Plus im sure people have higher horsepower cars with stingers and im sure they work fine.

Point is, you have them so give em a try and if they dont work then they dont work but you tried and it wont set you back any.

Appreciate all the input and thanks for the welcome!

I'll keep them and see what happens when I get the car. If they're no good for the car or don't fit then i'll just sell them, I've got nothing to lose.

Hey guys, I am also new to the site. I ordered my 2011 GT from Jeff, he is going to have it drop shipped to me here in San Francisco. I currently drive a 2003 Honda Civic and have been lusting for power for many years. Here is the car I ordered:

2011 Mustang GT Premium
Sterling Gray Metallic
Auto
19 inch bright aluminum washed rims
Glass roof
Security Package
Comfort Package

X-plan pricing brought the total to: 36,069 plus CA sales tax (booooo!!!)

Welcome to all of the newbies!

Regarding the Borlas, I ran the Stingers on my 06 when I was making 501 rwhp which is around 550-575 at the crank and they held up just fine....... and sounded great doing so!

Hey source, I'm not sure of this, but it looks like the '10 stingers have a longer tip then the 05-09.

See here, look at M-5230-MGTL

Thanks! Yeah I think I'll just sell them and save up for a new pair.

Off topic....but does anyone know when I should receive my DORA/VIN number? I dealt with a new guy when I ordered mine. I actually ordered on the 2nd of this month, but changed my order on monday of this week, so i know it got pushed to the back of the line...

Oops I wasn't thinking. I thought I read you had '10 Stingers so they are the same.

Hey bud. Interesting the way that drop-ship thing works. I may have to look more in to that. The sales tax in CA blows!

your stingers from 05 to 10 will not work on a 2011.....they changed the connection.figures,right.but u will need a 05 to 10 pipe from x back to mufflers to make them work.even the front convertor assy. is different.its 2 pieces instead of one.

to add to that the 2011 have a ball and socket connection at the muffler.

Hey Patrick, if you have any questions on the drop-ship idea, let me know. This is my 1st time ever doing it (I've been here for 13 years but never did it). I can order your car too if you want.
