10,000 mile update

So I've been quiet on here for a while, swamped with my studies. Anyway, my 2012 v6 just hit 10,000 miles! I have loved his car since day one, but I believe it is getting even better. I have had ZERO transmission issues so far (knock on wood). I recently installed a set of flowmaster force II axel backs and they sound fantastic. Great sound, not too loud, and zero drone. Also, with miles and me learning what it likes, my mileage has gotten even better. I am regularly averaging 33-34 mpg on trips to the shore (flat road). Of course, mileage in the city is still not anything amazing.

My future mods include a Bama tune and perhaps some AMR 18's.

It seems that the v6 community on here is growing with the 13s :yay:

Nice! I'm 4 months in and have racked up about 5500, it's hard to drive the other car with the stang sitting in the garage waiting

What kind of power increases are people seeing with tunes on the v6's?

My V6 just hit 7K at six months. A pretty phenomenal car. I actually preferred the V6 to the GT.

My 2011 V6 just turned 26K, and those miles have been a blast! So glad to see and hear that others buy and drive these Mustangs.

Great link. Hope it stays alive and prompts others to get theirs out of the garage and enjoy them!

The 'other-half' has put 24k (I think) on the 2012 6'er and she still loves it. Great cars!

HAHA, nope!

We picked her up on June 8th, 2011 with maybe 50 miles on the clock.. I put about 2200 miles on her when we road tripped down to Tampa, FL and back. She did all the rest....

That's still.... over 470 miles per week average.

I think the only time I drove that much in a year was when I was 25 and made three trips from Dallas, Texas to Sarasota, Florida and back in a 3 month span.

I'm seeing tuned v6's hit mid 13's regularly at the track. A guy a few weeks ago was running 13.60's on street tires, 93 tune, cai manual. It's crazy because that's what alot of 98-02 ls1 cars were running. My stock 2001 SS went 13.40-13-60's. Crazy that a v6 stang now hangs with that. Quite impressive

I love my 12 v6 with performance package..just turn 1500 miles....hope to have FRPP mufflers put on this week as well....can't wait. I agree this 6 is something else...you cannot get more bang for your buck on anything else. Only thing I probably would change if I could go back is i would have gotten silver instead of black.
