I went with FRPP P springs which are really good but you may want to get CC plates to adjust the camber if you do a lot street driving, my tires wore horribly from the camber and toe. I would suggest a proper alignment afterwords or at least get it all checked.

Dropping only .5 to 1'' you should not need CC plates. Now depending on what shock/strut combo you go with you might need Eibach bolts and a good alignment but CC plates should not be needed. As for which springs - Eibach Pro Kit are advertised to drop 1/1.5, or Ford P Springs are advertised to drop 1/1.

Just lowered my track pack with some bmr springs and a bmr adjustable ban hard bar. 1 in upfront and 1.25 in the back. Did an alignment afterward and had no issues. Looks great! Inmy opinion anything less than a inche is a waste.

Its not really about what is needed but what is best and what will last. No one needs to lower their car but if you're going to, you should do it right however, there are cheaper alternatives for those on a budget.

I installed Eibach sportlines for the look I wanted ($$ wise too)

Also installed new camber bolts and got a proper alignment done.

I bought my springs used for about $100-125 on Craigslist and spent about $250 total on everything

True CC plates aren't needed, though I hate the idea of the camber bolts.

OP just asked what was "needed". CC plates are great, and you will never have to worry about replacing them, or depending on who made them having to buy anther set if they break. I was just saying for the amount he is looking to drop he could just get GT500 mounts and use the extra money for other things. If money was no option then I would def. recommend CC plates as I have them (Steeda) on my '95 and love them.

I agree. I've used camber bolts before on imports with no ill effect. I wanted the most durable results after I lowered my car. I went with the ground control plates from Hypermotive. They have more adjustment than the steeda cc plates and are totally quiet.

Everyone needs to seriously stop suggesting GT500 mounts without let everyone know that they don't work with 11-14 shocks/struts. That is "needed" information.

Did you go with the race or street ones, I have been looking at these once I have the money for them, currently though camber bolts will have to do to keep my tires from balding on the inside.

I went with the street plates. I wanted my car as quiet as possible for all my mods. They are really nice plates. They looked very solid. I've had them for a year and they are excellent.

Those will only drop you about 1/4 an inch from stock and you will still get bad body roll and pitch.

As I said, anything less than an inche is a waste. Even with an inche in the front and 1.25 in the back I still have some gap between the wheel and fender but it's close to flush, definitely not slammed. Also remember you will need a adjustable panhard bar for sure.

I didnt realize he was not going to get new shock/struts. If I knew he would be keeping the OEM shocks I would not have suggested them.

And had he gotten 11-14 specific shocks/struts?
