Thing is, this will only look 'right' if you have the rest of the kit.

Cervinis, I suggest you offer two kits: 1) the current one that will match the new kit you released last week (call it Aggressive); and 2) a less ostentatious kit with a shorter duck tail and no wrap around bumper - integrate a new lower fascia to keep the rear dual exhaust.

I have no idea how much the development costs would be, but in theory I'd bet you would sell a LOT of those kits to 2010+ owners who aren't smitten with the rearend/even get people who are on the fence with the 2010+ Mustang to pull the trigger!

cant wait to see a 3/4 rear view...sorry but I loathe what ford did, think this might just make me want one- the rest of the car is pretty much great already, especially considering the stock 12 second 5.0

good job Cervinis- we need more pics!!!

I happen to think the new rear end is fine, so maybe I'm not completely objective... but those lights look way out of proportion to me.

I would like something that looks more like the 05-09, but I want my dual exhaust out the rear like patrick said!

So lemme see if I get this right:

1) The two center 'lights' don't.
2) The sequencers have 1,1, 2 lights.
3) The backup light couldn't be put *anywhere* else.

Yeah... well, if y'all like it fine, but that's just not impressive enough for me. I can't believe they design this stuff so... wrong.

My fixes would be these:
LEDs=Thin=The inners should work, end of story on that. Then you'd have a proper 2-2-2 sequencer and I'd take that in a *heartbeat*. But only if you then further did the trick that was used on a 1966 TBird backup light, and turn it red when not in use. Or put the backup light at the edges, vertically.

/Kinda hopin' Cervini's listening to my ideas...

Our Tail Light Conversion is still in R & D so we are working on getting everyone pictures as soon as possible. The pictures will be featured for both the 2010-11 and the 2005-09 Conversion Kit (we will be sure to include a rear 3/4 Shot). I will keep everyone up to date when I have pictures in the near future. Thank you

Since they're still in R&D how about a version without the rear medallion? I would like a version without, and by the sounds of it, a lot of other people would too.

I have to say, I do like the concept, but i'm going to need a little more then a simple render to blow $1500. How about some real-world pics and some info on what we're looking at for installation.

Again the concept looks great and i'm sure i'm not the only one that isn't crazy about the current rear-end.

Just to embellish a little bit on the idea in my post...

The Shelby/65 TBird lights on the original cars were not flush, but 'popped' out of the panels. Therefore, if these did that, there is enough room to make the inners work. It then becomes a matter of wiring, and that is a simple enough task.

Thank you for your attention.

I never thought I would see a Shelby style tail light conversion actually being made. It doesn't look too bad. Like some have said, I would put the back up lights in the inboard lights. The kit is still in R & D so I'll wait until I see the final product before deciding to pull the trigger on it.

These look pretty good in my opinion, when the day comes for me to get my own S-197 I will seriously consider these.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Would turn it from a neat concept, to a must have mod.

Given what they are, the inner tail lamps will likely just be affixed with super strong emblem tape, as they're just reflectors. Although it could also, given what it looks like, be an entire 'blackout panel' thing, but either way, it's just a stick on.

The inners are going to probably replace the current tail lamp housing outright.

Tada and such.

if there is no real body work involved i might go for this granted we can see some more realistic pictures. My only complaint is the two inner lights(i guess you cant call them lights since they dont work) not being functional.

I posted this on the 05-09 boards as well, but thought I would post it here in case you all wanted to see it as well.
I pulled the original picture off of a google image search:

Here's the editing I did to put the rear end on the Shelby:

Im not good at that stuff but I kinda like this plus it would be easy to do.
I dont think the black surround is mandatory and breaking up the stripe doesnt do it for me.
This would be a compromise of a reflection of the past option.
The interior lights would be 3M'ed on with the wires running around the trunk.
Anyway...just a mix of new and old.....as I dont care much for the smaller lights.

hey...just an idea. It would make it allot easier to make and cheaper which would = more sales.
If you use it just give me a discount will ya??
