Noticed on page 2 of this document that Windveil Blue is being discontinued as they add dark highland green.

As much as I like Highland Green, I'll hate to see Windveil go. A really classy color...

 

Well for once I got it right. I have wanted a WB since the 05's came out. This is to match my 79 which is Medium Blue Metallic, which is just a bit lighter. I finally ordered an 08 in July.... then having it turned into a Roush. It has been built and is awaiting shipment.

Frankly I am surprised the color lasted 3 1/4 model years. That's a pretty long run.

 

Windveil Blue is a popular colour with a lot of mustang folks. Makes you wonder what marketing genius came up with the plan to discontinue the colour. But then I wonder if the 2005 - 2008 WB mustangs will be worth a bit more in future years because the colour is discontinued?

 

does that mean its more valuable now

 

For some reason, ford has limited themselves to 10 colors each year since the S197 came out.
05: black, white, yellow, torchred, mineral grey, redfire, legend lime, wblue, sblue, ssilver
06: black, white, yellow, torchred, tungsten, redfire, legend lime, wblue, vblue, ssilver
07: black, white, G-orange, torchred, tungsten, redfire, alloy, wblue, vblue, ssilver
08: black, white, G-orange, torchred, vapor, candy apple, alloy, wblue, vblue, silver met
08.5: black, white, G-orange, torchred, vapor, candy apple, alloy, highland green, vblue, silver met

 

I doubt value will be effected being that there was still a ton WB's made in the 3.5 years.
