well,

my Tungsten GT is on order and should be built around december. The only thing I am unsure of is which color hood stripes to get- black or white? what do you guys/gals think?

also, if anybody has pictures of a TUNGSTEN with hood stripes, PLEEAASSEEE post them.

I think I am leaning towards white but i guess I just will miss black. ALL of my vehicles that I have owned are black and this TUNGSTEN will be my first non-black car. Don't get me wrong, I love black but it is such a female dog to keep clean as we all know.

As for the hood stripes, I do also like the silver white from the Tungsten show car from last year.

Show car with white looks good.
But with a black top on my Vert - black is the way to go.

I vote silver, like the show car (yes, I know that wasn't one of the choices... but I think it would look better than either black or white).

 

I also vote for silver with white coming in a close second. IMO black would be to much of a contrast for that color.

that is going to be a tuff call. For some reason, I believe that the tungsten color this year is not the same as the show car. At a certain angle, the metalic in it gives off a purple/iris hue. It is not the platinum gray that I thought it was going to be.

To answer your question, it is a metalic paint so I would definately put a color on that is metalic as well. Possibly a very light silver.

 

I say get some photochops going witha few different colours , Id love to see some, I just havnt ever used photoshop so I cant do it for ya

 

Go with Satin Silver stripes.

 

I vote Satin Silver as well, in fact I was thinking about getting Tungsten Grey stripes painted on my Satin Silver GT.

 

Well, my Tungsten GT Will be getting Satin silver stripes on it. Unfortunately, it will cost a few hundred dollars to do so I will not have any pics of it for a wile.... So my vote would be for silver!

 

silver -- the white may look really flat against the mettalic tngsten color.

Black (or dark gray) would call less attention if you didn't want them to be quite as obvious.
