Stripe Colors for TG?

Stripe Colors for TG?
I'm thinking about getting stripes for my 07 TG GT. I was originally leaning towards black but I've seen pictures of some really sharp looking silver / white ones. But maybe there are some other colors I just wouldn't think of.
Those who have stripes, could you post some pictures of your color?

I'm going with the metallic silver which are slightly darker than satin silver.
GOOD LUCK, check out the site and sign up....

My wife seriously wants black stripes on our TG GT but at times, I find myself wavering a bit and thinking silver.
To me, black stripes mean serious or classic muscle car while the silver stripes say elegant and athletic. If I could afford a Ford GT (say that 5 times quickly), I'd definitely choose the tungsten/silver combo over any other color choices they offered.

I'd be doing the satin silver/quick silver stripes if I didn't find out it is going to cost $3,000!! Now I am wondering if vinyl is worth it for the savings... maybe a shaker will make it all better. LOL

How much less expensive would it be to paint the stripes black instead of silver?

No price difference. The cost is all tied up in labor. They wanted to remove the front and rear windows and bumpers and block sand the stripes to make sure there isn't a ridge between the Tungsten paint and the stripes. Labor charge rate is like $80/hr in my area.

I wonder how good the pros do with tape stripes. I've seen a few Stangs around here with tape stripes and once you get within about 5 feet of the car, you can see all sorts of problems like bad tape edges, poor spacing and large gaps around areas like the 3rd tail light or the trunk or hood edges.
Shelby started using tape stripes in '66 if I recall correctly because of the amount of time it took to do paint stripes. So there is historical precendence for using tape stripes on Mustangs.

I'd either go with graphite or gunmetal gray or satin/quick silver. If you're not looking for a show car finish (and I'd take it you're not if you're considering tape), you might consider talking them down from removing the glass and premium treatments. I got a quote in the DC area for about $1k

So I was just saying that if someone wanted to do tape stripes instead of paint stripes on their Mustang, there is historical precedence for it. I guess, though, you'd have to use a 3M product to keep the heritage.
