I ordered Tungsten Grey...build date of 8/15

Well, I was a Tungsten person. However I decided to change my order to Windveil Blue. Nothing against Tungsten. I just want to see a color before I order it. I originally based my choice off the FORD GT supercar in the Tungsten. That was cool. However, some of the pics I've seen of Tungsten doesn't impress me (Amy's picture). When I look on the road, there are so many shades of silver/grey cars. I'll know if I made the right decision when I see the first Tungsten come off the line late next month/early september. I don't understand why Ford can't release pics of the car in the new colors. They're taking orders, so why not let people base their color decisions on actual pictures or a color sample.

I noticed that everyone that shows "spoiler delete" in their signature is still C/U. Is Ford short on trunk lids without holes?

 

It would seem that way... as of 7/27, still C/U....Maybe next week

 

and you believe these colors to be accurate?

 

I certainly don't. The Torch Red is too orange and the Legend Lime is way too deep a green. Look at the Windveil. Not even close.

For Tungsten looks like they took the Satin Silver image and just darkened it. Flip back and forth between the two to see the effect. It's the only one that does that.

I did not want the shaker 1000, but I did order the standard wheels, 5 speed, spoiler delete, dark charcoal gray interior, IUP, front and side air bags with the security system!

Isn't this the 2006 Tungsten Grey color?

There is speculation that the production tungsten grey is not going to be the same as the show car pictured there. Or it might be the same, but not look the same due to lighting, etc. If it isn't, I'm going to be pissed...cuz I'm getting a...

tungsten grey
light graphite leather bucket seats
sport trim interior
18" fanblades
5 speed manual

I opted for the sport trim interior because I wanted the leather wrapped steering wheel and I think the IUP has a bit too much polished aluminum, sport trim has just enough.

I also opted for the Deluxe so I could get the basic sound system (not a music guy, besides, that sub has to weigh a good 25 lbs!! hehe), but upgrade the seats to leather.

The 18" fanblades are simply the bomb.

Now I only hope the tungsten grey turns out cool...sigh, I can't say that I'm not extremely nervous.

Ugh, I don't even have a DORA or whatever yet...=(

Tungsten Grey ordered on 6/10. No build date yet. Aaaauuuggggg!!! The whole point of me ordering so early was to get my car sooner. I feel jipped. :bang:
