Why did you choose Torch Red?

Here's an interesting question... What made you choose Torch Red over all the other colors available?

That's all the Dealer had on the lot?

You knew you wanted TR from the get go?

Your wife said Red or forget it?

Reminds you of a prior (or another) Mustang?

Let's hear your story!

It's the color Mustangs SHOULD be.

Nothing says classic Mustang like a RED Mustang.

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of cool colors, and Ford sure is into the retro colors, but there's just something about TR that reinforces American Muscle Car.

I actually looked at getting Redfire, but I didn't like the clash with the Red Leather (must have) seats.
I've owned two black vehicles, and a black Harley. Every time I said I wouldn't buy another black vehicle, but I did. No more, I learned my lesson the last time I tried to keep a vehicle for more than 2 years. Good luck Leo.

Reds always been my favorite color, Redfires O.K., but Torch Red was my first choice.
Last Mustang was Grabber Blue; 70 Boss 302, it was sharp. If I'd only known then....
Sold it 25yrs ago.

A Grabber Blue Boss or Mach 1 makes me . I dont know if Grabber Blue would look right on a '05-'07 GT. Can someone photoshop one with some Boss or Mach 1 graphics???? Dad had a white '70 Mach 1 with the 351 and auto trans when he turned 16. Unfortunately the car came in contact with a tree not long after he bought it.

Nice pic AFBLUE but I think it looks more at home on a '69 or '70 Mustang but I would take an '07 in that shade of blue.

When I was 12 my Dad came home with a brand new Poppy Red, in those days, '65 coupe... the chrome wheels, red-line tires, 289, etc. Over the years I had my owned a couple of '65s and a '66 fastback... all of them red. An '87 GT came along later, also red. Then a black '02 GT snuck into the mix somehow. When the s197s arrived I was itchin' to go red once again. God saw the new Stangs and said, "Let them be Torch Red." And they were good.

Bama,
Great set of pics. The '65 brings back so many good memories and the feelings of being a kid and falling in love with Mustangs. Both of these these cars are just plain awesome.

Any chance you've still got the '65?

The Mustang comes in other colors??

Torch Red is the only color for a Mustang (and all the cars I have ever owned have been red)

I couldn't wait until the new Mustang came out. I was checking the various websites everyday for the latest information. When the color choices started showing up, I thought for sure I would get Redfire. But when I saw it in person, I wasn't that crazy about it (something about the way it changes colors in different lighting).

My second choice would have been a nice grey, but I didn't like Mineral. I really wish Ford would have made this car in Dark Shadow Grey.

Then I saw the Torch Red in person and I knew that was the color I wanted. My brother's Screaming Yellow is OK, but the Torch really pops.

I just love a true bright red. When my wife and I got married in 1992, we had matching bright red cars - a 1992 Mustang GT coupe for me and a 1985 Mazda RX-7 for her - both five speed sticks, lots of fun (!) and they looked great together in the garage!
