Ford Mustang Torch Red Paint Code is D3

I went to my local ford dealer to get some touch-up paint and asker the parts guy for torch red, he looked on the computer and said there was no such color he said all that is available is redfire and colorado red. I told him i was positive it is torch red so i went out to my car and got the color code and he told me that was colorado red.
I was wondering what happend to torch red, I thought colorado was a 06 color?
I tested the color on paper and it looks like torch red but i want to be sure before i put it on my car.

From what I have heard, "D3" is the color code for torch red/colorado red. The color "colorado red" will be on the '06, but it will be identical to the torch red on the '05s.

When I bought my 2002 Torch Red GT I recieved touch-up paint from Ford and the name on the bottle is Colorado Red. I was confused at first but my dealer said it was just another name for it.

OK, I posted this in another thread, but I'll post it here too. They're identical. I recently had the lower grill in my bumper painted. My car's Torch Red but the paint code came up Colorado Red in the bodyshop's computer. See photo, the car's Torch, and the grille is Colorado. They're identical.

Which makes me wonder who's idea it was to just change the name of the color for no apparent reason. Makes no sense to me.

Wow, I was excited when I heard the Torch was only for the 05 year which would mean less on the road. If the colorado red is the same color just a different name so much for being rare.....
