Fender Stripe History
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fender Stripes are also known as driver identification stripes or Federation Internationale de L’Automobile (FIA) stripes. In the 1960's the Shelby GT350s and other multicar teams would put different colored stripes on their cars so that at a quick glance the pit crews could distinguish which car was pitting (they couldn't always see the numbers). So, if you track your car (not drag racing) it does have meaning and legacy. Today many people are putting these on their cars to give it a sportier look.

Just put the SHR louvers on. Think they really help the look of the fastback. The paint match is outstanding! Still getting used to being able to see out of the quarters (the plastic louvers I had on previously covered the window). I've been looking over my shoulder before changing lanes out of instinct and I'm still shocked that I can actually see if there's a car there! ![Banana](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/banana.gif)

Just waiting on the CS40s with Nitto 555s and GT/CS bumpers (both on back order). Then I'm done. I mean it this time. Done.

Just checking in here, I own a 2008 Torch Red, just joined up on the forums. I've got some pics in my gallery.
Geee, after looking at everyone else pics, I think I should work some more on my appearance of the vehicle instead of just the performance
And I really should get some better pics of my car...Later on today seems like the perfect day too, weather should be nice!
