What it looks like with the top down is what is important to me. I would like a better boot for the car as well, when the top is down.

The silly rear side windows on the vert still annoy me though.

I'd still miss the long rear window and the rear quarter windows. That's one thing that really makes my Mustang.

Nice pic's Amy. Although I'm stickin' with my coupe until Ford comes out with a hard top vert. B) IMO the '05 vert resembles the old Fox. You loose the fastback appearance & the qtr panel windows. In any event == good find

 

The more I see the verts, the more I like them.

Do you really plan on holding out for a hard top vert, it seems like that would be a REALLY long wait. As in never. It would be really hard to not only make it a four seater, but also keep in in the mustangs price range, but I haven't looked into so I could be wrong.

 

There was a hard top option i think in 95?? It was an add on option, but it still had the vinyl top. Doesn't the T-bird have on now?

 

I know why he's frowning!! Its because he can't pop the top and soak up the sun year round like we can here in FL.....................wait breaking weather update.........hi 39 on wednesday in jax.........oh well, it has a heater right?

yeah.. I would really hold out -- just 'cause I'm not much of a vert fan -- but hard top verts - pretty much make me that way. :shock: & regarding the price ... If you take into consideration the expectation of pricing for the cobra or something like saleen's extreme rendition of the S197. I think Ford could venture into the relm of hard top verts. Granted not everyone may be available to afford one - but that would be a plus because everytime you pull up to a red light you would be able to distinguish your stang from the one... or two... or three... (anyway you get the picture) pulled up beside you.

 

verts are sweet, hard are a tad bit better, but only cus i live in freezing cold michigan, but nice pics, only wish it was black top on black like my future stang.

Are you talking about a removable hard top, like the Thunderbird has, or a retractable hard top like Mercedes uses?

Just playing around on a dealer inventory site------Ford inventory lets you add Vert to your search now. Odd Wish it was more than a fairy tale- I am dying for mine.

My Dad Called- they have 05s down here.I was searching the ford inventory at the dealer down where they live(outside Selma Al). He wants but won't get till I do because he said he would have to kill me.

definitely retractable like the Merc - Caddilac & Lexus are in that arena also. personally I think it would be great. Probably never happen.. but depending on what the consumers want... we'll see.

 

lol, according to Top Gear, its not THAT great a find as the GT needs to fuel up every 70 miles.

I really want to see a torch red vert with a black top. My mom has a red 66 vert with a black top. That's the only color combo I would get on a vert.

Although I was impressed by the sonic blue stang with spoiler delete I seen at the dealer the other day. I think I liked it because it has a hint of purple. Looks awesome.

Maybe I'll get lucky and see torch red vert at the det auto show..
