RedFire shines nicely
I have seen pictures of cleaned and shiney cars, and they are usually black. I have not seen a shiny Redfire yet.
So I cleaned mine up yesterday since it was actually above freezing (not by much though). Since it was so cold, and there are snow flurries today, I could not go all out. I used the Mr Clean Auto Dry and a coat of Meguiars Quick Detail Spray.
I also used Meguiars leather conditioner wipes. The back seats were fine. But the front seats soaked up a lot of the conditioner.
Ironic part is that even though it was slightly above freezing, I only had a long john shirt and a sweat shirt on. And was warm. It has been below freezing so long, people are wearing spring clothes now that it is above freezing.
Me in the passenger door.

In the shade vs in the sun

Back driver panel in the shade

Passenger side with snow reflection

Another passenger side (the hood is open since I cleaned there too)

Overview from the back

Low angle shot from the front.

Front driver quarter panel. I like how the pony shows thru the wheel.

I'm with Al... quit making the Redfire look so good so that those of us that want it will be more...unique.
Great shots, Kluski. I never noticed the pony before on the brakes. Is that a mod?

Lookin' GOOD, man!
Redfire needs some representation....
I've been after my brother to get his and his wife's redfire done up with the Zaino kit - just been short on time... but when he does, I'll get some pics up... I have black... but the Redfire is awesome!

Glosssy!
Looks sweet dude; good job.
Yeah I never noticed the Pony on the caliper either. But then again, I don't have my car yet.
EDIT: ok just noticed the calipers themselves are red too.. mod on the brakes? Looks sharp.

Great Kluski! You wouldn't like to see my Redfire GT right now. She's so dirty with salt and calcium. And for crying out loud yesterday at the gas station I found an other razor-cut like scratch just beside the gas cap... I'm getting depressed over this car...

That sir is abuse.
Chris,
I had the joy of spending about 8 months in Thule, Greenland (about 900 miles or so from the North Pole if my memory is correct...) when I was in college. The trip up was fun. I left out of El Paso one morning (and we had already had two weeks of 100+ days!). When I finally arrived in Thule, it was 20 degrees and they had about 4 feet of snow on the ground. I was STILL wearing the shorts and tee shirt I left El Paso in...!
It took about two months to really get aclimated. I noticed it when I was back to my dorms wearing only an unlined wind breaker (and yes, shirt/jeans/shoes) and it wasn't even zipped up. It was 25F outside and we had a 30 mph or so breeze blowing. When I finally reached my dorm, I had been outside for about 15 minutes. And I noticed that not only was I warm, but my fingers (not in pockets and no gloves!) were even warm!
When I finally flew back to El Paso on 27th December, they were having a blizzard there. It was about 20F and strong winds and blowing snow. I was actually HOT! It had been in the -45F range for a couple of months and I was used to that... I got a LOT of strange looks while walking out to the car in that blizzard, some of them from my family that came to pick me up!

Black is by far the best for photographing reflections, I tried to do it with mine but I think a combonation of the blue and the metallic wouldn't give the same effect.

Yup, it took about 4 hours, including some interior work. Well worth it.
I was listening to Harry Connick Jr while cleaning her. There was songs lyrics like...
"For once in my life I've got someone who needs me..."
"For once I can say: 'this is mine and you can't take it.'"
"Only you can make darkness bright."
Cheesy, I know.

I imagine she looked like mine did a few hours before all this. She looked as white as the snow in the driveway. Funny part was my wife's big boss was in town. She said he wanted to see my car and told me to give it a quick rinse. My quick rinse took four hours. But her big boss loved it.
