Question for the Redfire Owners.....
#1
I am still waiting (a little over 3 months from ordering) for my Redfire GT, and from looking through some posts, I was wondering if any Redfire owners were having problems with the paint job???? Any unusual chipping, hard to remove water spots??

Well mine is awesome, no problems, other than known strut bearing issues everyone seems to be having, ford is working on fix supposedly. Other than that redfire is the way to go. Beautiful, with the metallic in it. When it is clean, boy oh boy does it turn heads, and looks gorgeous. No issues with paint chipping etc. here. But I only have about 1500 miles on it. Good luck

Only problem is when it's dirty, hten it's not metalliac. But when clean, sodaman is right on, saying it turns heads.
Do the Zaino thing and it has a totally wet appearance that is unbelievable.
:bang: Only other color we considered was black. But after owning a couple of black cars; knowing how they look 10 minutes after cleaned .... we passed

I have trouble with water spots here if I don't chamois it and don't keep on top of the waxing, but that's not the fault of the paint, the water is on the hard side here. Redfire does seem to amplify the water spots; my 93 Canary Yellow is affected as well, just not as obvious. No chips yet, knock on wood...

I have over 16000 miles on mine now and have no problems whatsoever with paint quality. My car has seen an entire Wisconsin winter as well.
I do have 6 coats of Zaino on it atm and absolutely love the way it looks!

IMO Redfire is like black in a way. KEEP IT CLEAN and it is the most stunning color you'll ever see. Let it get dirty and it looks dirty and dull QUICK. It's a hard color to keep clean much like black, so you have to do the maintenance. Wash it every week, and before dates, etc. to impress.

No chipping problems, other than the big rock that did a gainer off of my hood. Keep it clean, and if you live in a hard water area like I do, just use the coin-op and make sure to rinse with the "spot-free" setting.

I don't know if it can be blame on Ford paint quality but I noticed a lot of small paint chipping on my Redfire. Never noticed that on my previous car but I'm certainly paying more attention to the Mustang... Anyway it's kind of depressing but I'm sure it has nothing to do with the color...
