Yeeeehaaw! You know, even though I have one parked in my garage, I could look at pics of these cars all day!
I just got my '06 in late August [Happy Birthday to me!] and I tell you what, buying the car was the easy part. Now I can't decide what I want to do with it...besides drive fast and terrorize the neighbors...
Anyway, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hi to everyone and I love your cars.

Hey there Lauralee. Don't know what to do next? Did you ever come to the right place! Heck I haven't been here that long with my Redfire, and just look at what they made me buy. (hehee)

Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
So Dave, "MADE" you buy? Guess there's no hope for me then, I already have a 3-page list going. Nice car, I ended up with the charcoal interior but I wanted the parchment that you have. But I couldn't argue with 0% financing either...
So I'm thinking a supercharger & perf upgrades first...why mess around, right? I can make it pretty later, as long as I'm going fast the only thing people will see is a redfire streak!

Ok, Heres my Redfire story.

In 03 we test drove a V6 and a GT. Didnt like either car. We were about to leave the lot when my wife spied a Focus SE. We ended up with a 4 door SE and a Sangria ZX3.

The daughter got the SE the next year and the wife got a 04 Toredor Taurus.

The next year I tradded the ZX3 for a 05 Redfire V6 deluxe.

For never caring for the color in 3 years we had 3 of the shades: Sangria-Toredor-Redfire.

Anyway I wanted the GT but the 3-4K dealer markups turned me off. I got the V6 Deluxe for 20K out the door. Since this was my 4th car in 3 years at the same dealership, I got a pretty good deal.

I added the painted mirror inserts, GT bumpers, side skirts, exhaust, and GT upgrade 17in wheels. So on the outside it looks like a GT with the badges removed.

Im 1/3 of the way through a 10psi Procharger install.

The only thing that bugs me about Redfire is that it looks good just the way it is. Ive considered every stripe option I can think of, and nothing jumps out at me. I have a spoiler delete, and I like that also. Chin spoilers make it look nose heavy. A good wash and wax and it stands on its own merits.

I may end up changing back to the V6 bumpers for the sleeper effect.

Next time around I will go with larger rear tires or a small rear drop to fill the wheel gap better.

The only thing I will never wavier on is cutting a hole in that big beautiful aluminum hood.

The best part is that with all my mods Im still in it for under 25K.

Heres a couple pics. I miss the Sangria ZX3, it was a fun car and I got alot of compliments, mostly because I didnt rice it out.

Glenn, thanks for posting your pictures of your legend lime Mustang. She's beautiful!

My wife and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our Redfire GT Vert.

Redfire does look good fairly stock, but my wife saw all the mods on my car and felt left out. So after some negotiation "we" decided to add these grilles and a set of rear stainless taillight bezels.

Shaun, the grilles you added look really cool! I see your puppy dog loves to share in the fun. Thanks for sharing your picture. ~ Ed

Shaun-The grilles do look really nice!
Has anyone seen billet or chrome bezels for the foglights that look good?

Lauralee, welcome aboard.

Ed, it'll be here before you know it. My wait from March (ordered) until June (built) seemed to last an eternity. Same with waiting now until April 1st to get her out of winter storage.

That's the truly great thing about Redfire. Redfire with this body style stands out on its own.

Most of them look far better without adding any goo-gahs, IMHO. And with the fanblades and a set of BFG KDW II 255s on all four wheels...

Love my Fan Blades wrapped with BFG KDWS G-Force 18's. Just added the BRS Swept Spinners for a "tad" different appearance.

Those are the 235 series, though, right?

You really should think about the KDW IIs at 255 all the way around. Really beefs up the look, IMHO.
