Good to see you finally posted some pictures of your ride! When will you start with the mods?

Hey Chad!

Thanks! We have Steeda hood struts on order.

We've been enjoying driving around the Chico area. And lately with the great winter weather, it's been with the top down.

Last Sunday I took a drive along the Sacramento River and wound up at Scotty's Boat Landing. I had a diet coke on their balcony deck and saw some jet skiers and a couple gals in bikinis. That's pretty good for St. Paddy's Day weekend!

What have you been up to?

Hi Rich! Thanks for your offer of advice and help. I'm sure I will take you up sometime on your kind offer.

As you can see in my post to Chad, we've ordered some Steeda hood struts and been having a good time driving our Mustang around the area.

I like you avatar.

What have you been up to?

Beautiful car, Ed. When all polished up, no other color can hold a candle to Redfire on these S197s...IMHO.

If I didn't live in the Pacific Northwest (i.e. a RAINforest), I probably would have elected to go with the drop-top myself.

<sigh> The coupe will be SUCH a burden.

Thank you Hollywood_North! Yes, I love Redfire too on these S197s.

I also love the Pacific Northwest... beautiful country! I used to visit long time friends in Seattle. We had been in the Air Force together. We took ferry boat rides out to some islands and would also drive up the coast exploring. One of the girls in our group of friends had a cabin near Bellingham where a bunch of us got together for a 4th of July party. I lived in Kalispell, Montana courtesy of the USAF for a couple of years. Loved driving over to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and Spokane, Washington. Used to drive U.S. Route 2 between Spokane, Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, Libby, and Kalispell. Like to drive that route again someday in our Mustang!

I like your planned mods! Have fun!

Thanks Don. I like the shine you put on your redfire Mustang. And she looks good showing off the engine compartment with the hood up. Beautiful! Thanks for posting your Mustang.

Hey Steevr,

You and I have great taste in Mustangs! They're beautiful.

That will be nice getting your Mustang out of winter storage. Top down in the Chicago Spring weather. The Cubs and the White Sox. The Bears. Great town.

I used to live in the Chicago area from the time I was three years old until I was thirteen. Lived on 103rd St. in Chicago right next to a big Libby's farm and the railroad tracks, also Midlothian, and Markham. Long time ago. Played little league ball in Markham on the same team as Denny McLain. Tells you how old I am! I was a paperboy. In the morning I delivered the Chicago Sun-Times and Tribune; in the afternoon I delivered the Daily News, and American. Again tells you how old I am - how many of those four major Chicago daily newspapers are still published?

Thanks for posting.

Let me know when you're coming down. We'll get together and I'll show you around our town.

Thanks, Ed. Very generous of you...and I will.

Prolly not before Sept. though, with everything going on this year.

At least with the NAV option I'll be able to find you.
