Thumbs up

Heard torch red can look orange at times. Sonic Blue looks purple at times, Mineral gray looks a little brown.

Does redfire stay that color when dirty or in shade?

Thanks Scott.

Redfire does change colours. At night it looks awesome. The deepest red you've ever seen. In the day the metallic comes out and it looks really candy applish. Like all metallic colours, it will vary greatly with lighting, but that's what I love about them. You will get reflections off the car from street lights, building lights etc. I've had friends say my car keeps changing shade as I drive at night.

I think maybe the exterior paint is also "my color" but changes like those old hyper-color shirts of the 80's. lol

I hate it that the mineral grey look sbrown in almost every lighting, it really peaves me off, why cant they do us a favor and just add a gun metal grey to the color lineup and make everyone happy.

Interesting enough, the only two 2005 GTs running around in my town at the moment are a Mineral Grey & a Redfire Red. I was originally going to order the latter but after seeing it in person realized it didn't "grab me," so to say. The redfire has definitely changed colors pretty much every time Ive seen it, but the last time it seemed almost "purply" to me, which closed the deal in my mind. As a result, I opted to order the Mineral Grey (which Ive seen on the road as well). Yeah, its a little "brown" in some conditions... which I would personally not have the brownish whatever in the paint, but... out of all the colors, its what pleases me most... so thats whats on my order sheet.

The best thing I ever did for myself was to come to a decision on what color, order said color and leave it at that. Sure, I have second thoughts from time to time... but I always seem to come back to center. Pics are not 100%, definitely better to see it in person.

yup..... if they had a gunmetal or anthracite or silver grey metallic (think BMW) I would have bought that. I mean, that would be SICK with the red interior. I guess I should have waited for the titanium silver and the 2006s..... but I want my car NOW!

Add a professional show polish like www.zainostore.com and the paint looks like dancing glass.

The only time I've seen Torch Red look "orangy" is at night, when fluorescent lights are shining on it (usually the yellow-ish parking lot lights).

Personally, I love how Redfire looks when direct light is hitting it, but I don't like how maroon it gets otherwise.

I used to have a couple of those while in Jr. High. Those things were the shiz-nit. One that was orange/white and the other was blue-ish/purplely-pink

Redfire stands true to it's name just as fire changes color, so does this one. I did go to the dealership in the evening and looked at as many colors as possible and the Redfire looked awesome in the low light at dusk. It also looks great under the parking lot lights too

Redfire changes color a lot. I think it look best a t night with orange lights shining on it! I was afraid it would look pink or purple at daytime but I found out this happen only under fluorescent lights and frankly when do you drive your car under fluorescent lights...

Exactly. Redfire never looks purple...only under flourescent light (ie. light at a power wash station bay where I noticed that) I found the pictures on this site of redfire were often very decieving.
