If anyone has put this hood on a redfire gt could you please post pictures? So far I've seen black and WB but no redfire. Trying to get an idea how it will look on Sally.
Thanks!

Man, I like the hood but it's so tall!!!!
I'd love it with the stock hood height.

It is higher but not as high as it seems in that pic - here is my car dead on from the side.....

Wow, that's kinda cool seeing my car in different colors.
Can someone do the Silver from the Concept car?

Hard color to get right. I keep looking at different pics of Tungsten and get different results, from a pure grey to one with tints of blue. Here's two attempts...

I like the one on the left the best.
Big D also did mine for the screaming yellow. His rendition came out more a cross between the SY and LL. I loaded his result in photoshop and tweaked it a hair more. Here it is...

Mine is set to arrive at the shop by Monday. I'll post pics after the install is complete...

wow....anyone wanna do a quick explanation of how you did that in Photoshop? I have PS CS2, and am still learning. When I try and recolor part of a picture...it comes out "flat" instead of reflective.
I did it in Paintshop but the premise is the same. What I did was select the whole image and promote it to a layer. Then, working in the promoted layer, did a background erase, which erases, well, background using hue tolerance, etc (there's a tool for in in Photoshop too).
That left me with just the car body in the top layer. Another tool called "change to target" lets me grab the color from another photo and change whatever I paint to that hue. This is one way to change color.
Another way is to do something similar but add a layer that you paint over the body with a solid color. Change the property of that layer from normal to color (which means apply this color to the layers below it) and you'll get the same basic effect.
