Trying to get a color that will look the best for stripes. Opinions would be great. I dont want black...I am trying to decide from the below colors

http://www.autotrimdesign.com/Standard%20C...Chart-Vinyl.htm

046 Light Charcoal metalic
352 champagne star metalic
020 Charcoal Metalic

Any response would help I am planning on ordering these this up coming week...thanks in advance.

I've been thinking charcoal too, I vote for the Light Charcoal, but from those it is kinda hard to tell what the actual color would look like on the car.

I was going to buy a used mineral grey, and I found these stripes and I think they look awesome. They're sandstone.

That does look great but wonder how it would look as stripes. It looks fantastic with the runner board but that is small

I say go with the darkest color, so Charcoal Metalic. As long as you keep the color dark I'm sure it's going to look really good when it's done.

I find it absoulutly stupid that the only two people who responded to my post were people who do not even own a new mustang....

Don't have mine yet, but I've been kinda runnin this over and over in my head as to what color stripes. I've seen some that were done in a satin silver stripe that I really liked & I've seen some in a dark charcoal type that I really liked.

I wouldnt go with champaign metalic, I don't think there would be enough contrast. I'd probably go with the light charcoal myself... but then again, I don't own my 05 min grey yet, so maybe you don't want my opinion either.

eeehhh...wasnt gonna do it but why not. gotta keep mine unique ya know.

silver frost. IMO DO NOT go with dark striped unless they are metallic. every non metallic dark set of stripes i've seen on MG look odd in person.

Travis,
First, get a grip. What does it matter whether someone has their car yet or not?
Responses take time. Your post has only been up half a day. I didn't even see it when I was on the board earlier. Besides, your title was pretty vague. Personally, I hate those.

As for your question, if you don't like the look of black, I wouldn't get the 020 Charcoal Metallic. That's pretty dark. The 352 Champagne Star Metallic, like Nick said, wouldn't be enough of a contrast. It looks pretty close to MG. So by default, I think the 046 Light Charcoal Metallic would look best out of those 3 options.

If you're looking for subtle and want to be a little different and have medium parchment interior, the Sandstone would be the best. That color looks like it belongs on the car. Also, the owner of that car is on this board if you want more pics.

You have picked out three colors that are very nearly identical to the color of your car. You have to have more than a subtle contrast, otherwise why even bother? If you insist upon the colors you posted, I will agree with dark charcoal, although I believe it's going to look just like black.

Outstanding. I'm looking to get a MG and I may stripe it. If I don't go for that color directly, I might take it and give it a slight color ghosting. Will definitely need to investigate more.

But that looks great.

Thanks for the responses I knew that would get people talking. I do like that frost silver but am not one to steal original ideas. I really would like to go with the sandstone but I have charcoal interior so I think I am going to go with the light charcoal.

Thanks everyone

Sounds to me like you ought to contact the vendor and see if they'll sell you/send you samples of each color. Take the sample out and hold it against your MG to get a better point of reference as to how the color blends/contrasts/matches.

Finding the best match for a MG Mustang is a daunting challenge. Some of us have been struggling with just this question for months now. Personally out of the three you specified I like the "light charcoal metallic" the best. Would I install it on my MG? At this point I'm not sure...

Sounds like the best idea I have heard. I just emailed them to see if I could get a sample.

I hear what you are saying about not being sure about the stripes. The mineral grey is dificult to stripe. I know the sandstone color looks great but I have dark charcoal seats, so that would rule out that color. I dont know any more, such a hard choice.

You haven't given us enough information to help you! Side stripes or hood stripes? How wide are you going? Are you wanting multiple stripes or single stripe? What color is your interior? What wheels do you have?

I put silver on mine & that's not on your list so you probably don't want my oppinion.

Yeah I saw yours a while back but can not find that color anywhere. Did you get it off the net or a local shop?
