Unhappy 2005 Mineral Grey 5 Speed Manual GT Had to Sell Story.

I have come to the realization that I can't afford to have a toy sitting in my garage. My car is 3 years old on May 2nd and has 22500 miles on it. I have over $7000 in mods and it is in excellent condition. It has a crease over the driver's side rear wheel where is backed into a garbage can. I had Dent Pro's work on it but it is still there just not as bad as before. Asking $24,000 and I don't want to part out the car.

I Ran Across This Thread & Though What a Good Story as Far As the Members Trying to Brainstorm a Way For The Owner To Keep Car! Yes We Have Had Some Good Folks over the years With Difficult Stuations and The Members Would Rally To Help. I Just Thought it Would Be a Good Read!

Rich, No!!! You have put so much work into that car making it your own, you can't get rid of the gray pony!

Rich, can we take up a collection or something for you?
You can't sell it.
Is it the garage space that's killing you?
In two years, I have only driven 6500mi. and my car takes up all my meager garage space.
This week I found myself looking at getting a 2nd Mustang for a daily driver (fat chance this year).
But really...
What gives and can we help you in any way?

I am selling the car because my wife lost her job after working for a hospital for 18.5 years. There are younger people entering her field and they can pay them 50% of what my wife makes. It sucks but that is how people do business today. With 40% of our household income gone it's time for GRAYPNY to leave the stall and find a new home. I am 61 and my wife is 58 so this comes as quite a shock for us and we will be making some serious adjustments in how we live.

Thanks for the concern guys. I don't like to post personal stuff on the boards.

What a crappy situation. Maybe you could sell your daily driver, and keep the stang as your daily driver!! No shame in that, I drive mine all over the place. 2.5 years old and 63K miles on the clock. I bought the car to drive, not look at. (even though it is very pretty!!)

I hate to see you sell your car, its always been one of my favorties and I liked watching you do work on it. The Mineral Grey and black stripe combo has always caught my eye and made me want to do the same to my car (I also have a mineral grey). Id much rather see you keep it and make it the daily driver, in my opinion thats a much better thing to do than to just outright sell it. Whatever you do though, good luck with it!

Parting out the car. See sig for what's left. I know people on this board already have their Mustang but if you know of anyone send them my way. Price is negotiable BUT I'm not going to give it away.

Dang.. I just came across this thread.

Sorry the Gray Pony has to go, but like others mentioned, I can understand the reason.

You've been a good person here in TMS Rich, do stop by from time to time to see how us yahoos are doing.

Also having an 05 Mineral Grey, we've communicated a couple of times early on. Being 60, and having experienced first hand whats going on in business, I fully understand why the car has to go. Wish you the best of luck.

Rich, sorry to hear about this. I am sure you will sell it and who knows, things might turn around and you end up getting another one.
