Paint Scratches???

Hello Fellow Black Mustang Owners! I just bought a used '06 GT last month. It had 5K miles...practically a new GT at a great price! I thoroughly LOVE my baby and I am constantly amazed at all the attention she commands just cruisin'!
Anyways, to my point... I don't know if it is just me not being used to black paint or if the previous owner was an idiot, but if the sunlight catches a glare just right it looks like there are light scratches in the paint or clearcoat. Of course I realize "scratches" aren't "normal", but could they just be showing up more because it is black? They look like maybe scratches from washing with a dirty rag or something. When freshly waxed they are hardly noticeable, but I dont have the time to wax every other day!!! Lol! Is there a certain wax that is recommended, or will I need to invest in a new paint job?
Thanx in advance... this was my first post!

When you wash it use straight strokes along the length of the car, don't wash in circles. Use tons of suds on your wash mit and dry it with a squegee and faux chamois. If using cloths, use 100% cotton - no polyester. When waxing use a multi-step product like Meguiars with a cleaner, polish, swirl remover and finally pure wax. Avoid cleaner/waxes at all costs.

I always washed and then just waxed! I didnt realize how much extra stuff there is, like polish and scratchX! And all the secrets of the trade, like microfiber... Looks like a long day rubbin on my baby will be turning into longer days! But thats cool, as long as the scratches are gone! Thanx to all of you for your help!
