Loki's 2006 Mustang GT
I got her for 3k below MSRP from Pearson Ford after a false advertising fiasco. I originally took delivery in March, she has 160 miles on her.
I've always been a Ford Guy, here are some of our other cars...

False Advertising Fiasco
Basically this is how it went down.
I saw the add for 3k off all mustangs, GT and V6 in the San Diego Union Tribune right around January 1st, they were running an end of the year deal on 06's. I called them up and asked if they had any 5 speed GT's, and they said they had one manual transmission GT in black, I told them I was interested and when I arrived, I spent about 30 minutes with a salesman looking for the car. Unfortuantely they didnt have the car, it was actually a dealer modified car with 3k in aftermarket parts (window tint, 20inch wheels, grille, springs) and I didnt want any of those parts, but I wanted a 5 speed GT for 3k off MSRP. So I purchased the vehicle and Pearson Ford said they would put the stock 17 inch wheels and take off the springs, and sell it to me that way. Basically the sales manager decided he didnt want to do the deal, after he realized I was a perfectionist and he would have to take all the parts off. He was very unprofessional and told me to leave and that he would not sell the car for our agreed price, and wanted to leave the aftermarket parts on there, and try to sell it as is. I left with the window sticker, found the general managers email and let him know that no where in the newspaper article did it state I had to purchase aftermarket parts, and that legally they had to sell me the vehicle at 3k below MSRP. We threatened legal action and to contact the State of California about false advertising, and when they found out that we had the financial ability to make this a very big deal and that there sales mananger had actually renegged on our deal, I recieved an email from Gary Hertica, the general mananger, stating that he would sell me a Mustang GT for 3k off msrp and that I needed to send him what I wanted and they would order it. So 3 months later the car arrived, and I got a 2006 GT Black/Red with everything I wanted for 3k off MSRP. Overall I think we did well, I handled it very professionally as did Gary Hertica and I would do business with them again.

Funny....I learned in law classes that advertisements are just a means to get customers in to negotiate the price. Maybe California has some different law.
Anyway, the car looks great...gotta love the red interior on the black.

Thanks I appreciate that, fortunately California has been trying to cut down on False Advertising and other gimics by many car dealers across the state, it hurts business, and according to some friends it is a very messy deal for the dealers, even to deal with the legal ramifications.
