Love the Black...The Stripes look really good...

Just wondering about the tape on the Master cylinder...Is that because of the potential leak? I get my GT in a few weeks and want to know what problems I may need to look at...Thank you...

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure I liked the stripes at first, but now I really love em!

For the master cylinder, yeah, I just didn't want it to leak. They cleaned the motor at the dealership, so there wasn't anything on it, but I figured I would do it just in case.

I got some Teflon "Thread Seal Tape" in the plumbing section of Canadian Tire, and just wrapped it around the thread a bunch of times, hopefully it works alright. Pic below...

Colin,

Its always nice to see a local guy get a stang... i'll keep an eye out when i'm cruising mississauga before I put my car away. As for mufflers, remember some flows had problems with a baffle coming loose and rattling in the muffler... go Bassani or borla

She looks great... I'll be getting the same wheels this winter

Hey Steve, thanks man, I've only been out on weekends so far, she'll be going away for most of this winter, I want to try and keep her pristine for a couple of seasons. I'll keep an eye out for a sonic blue with friggin big shiney mufflers . I think I'll wait till next spring and hear some mufflers at a meet-up before I choose.

I really like these wheels, They've currently got a crapton of brake dust on the insides right now. Gotta buy a new jack and get em cleaned up.

Great looking car and glad you got a good deal! I'm not so sure you should use the teflon tape on your brake fluid resevoir. If you search these forums you will see that some people stated that it dissolves in brake fluid and may contaminate your fluid. Welcome aboard.

If you search the post by racerx titled "my inexpensive fix for the brake resevoir leak", you will find a simple cheap fix that will not contaminate your fluid. I did it and no more leaks at all!.

Just an FYI. Brake fluid will eat right through teflon tape.

Congrats on the car. Hope you enjoy it!

Very nice. And yes, you have to join us next season for some 1/4 runs.
Go with your first instinct....wide stripes baby. Mine are 13" with a
1 3/4" gap. Makes a huge difference. Took insurance off mine today. thats it till spring.
Enjoy buddy!!!

Yeah I think when these ones start to go in a year or two, I'll go with some bigger ones, maybe sooner. I'm thinking white, maybe a Shaker to go with it, haven't seen that on black yet.

Thanks man! Good luck getting through the winter, its hard not being able to drive it for a couple of days when its raining, the winter is definitly going to really suck.

64Ws = Excellent taste.. LOL.. i like the stripes as well.. any chance you got more picks of that interior? i'm tryin to take a look at your IUP panel.. i've never seen it on the black.. i've got the satin panel.

ps - i went with the Danco bathtub drain gasket method for the brake fluid reservoir and it works great! that version of the fix is in a thread somewhere on here..

here it is:

Its such an amazing car, I can't believe how powerful she is .

Heres a pic with me at the dealership, I'll get her out in the sun tomorrow and get some better pics.
