I took my 281 emblems off because IMO, they look a little too big, what do you think?

Of course those pics were before the stripes.

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of the 281 emblems, but it looks like the style you got is smaller because of them just being the numbers with no rectangle border. Maybe I would have liked them better on my car.

But, yes, like mentioned above, be prepared to explain what 281 means. I had my car to two car shows with the emblems on, and I must have been asked 5 times each show.

89T, IMO the Shaker needs something. TocoBill and Leo has them on theirs and they look good- as they did on yours. The 281 on mine is a little smaller, maybe try those. Have you ever thought about a V8 emblem, or 4.6 liter? I'm sure the V8 will not cause any confusion at car shows .

I thought about ordering the set you got, but I think it might get too busy with the vinyl now and the "Powered by Ford":

Attachment 11093 Attachment 11094 Thoughts? Too busy, right?

I did find a unique place for the 281 emblems... I figured I bought 'em, might as well use 'em:

Hood open: Attachment 11097 Hood closed: Attachment 11098

Crap! I'll still have to explain what they mean at car shows!

I like the decal . You're right, it would look too busy. Nice car by-the-way. I seriously considered white when ordering- not such a PITA to keep clean.

Thanks! You're right... PW is very easy to keep clean. The hardest part to keep clean is the black stripe and the black spoiler! BTW... the car is FILTHY in those pics above!

Both cars are !!!

Excellent work, both of you!

Do either of you have any high quality pics that I could use for wallpaper on my computer?

BTW Leo...that ducktail is EXACTLY what Ford should have done with this car!

Thanks! (if you are talking to me) If so, 99% of my pictures are 1024x768 in my Bucket... browse through the albums:

Try some NXT Generation interior spray on the plastic and Meguiars leather wipes on the seats. It will take flat black interior and make it deep black w/o a greasy feel. I think my dark charcoal is now true black and looks sweet. I'll try to take some pics Friday and post them.

From one STEELERS fan to another, your car is ridiculous man!

GO STEELERS!

Thanks for the advice... and the compliment. I just ordered some painted DG Custom 1/4 window louvers and installed M U S T A N G lettering on the truck lid, as well as a Mustang dash emblem. Still waiting on the release of the Fuego tuner. Will post pics soon. Go Steelers!

Hey Tom, Awesome ride man. Nice job!
I also like the clear signals. Where did you get these from? I'd like to add them to my store.

Thanks! I got them on eBay before they were getting poplular. Now you can get them at a bunch of places, like American Muscle:

or with the black housings:

Factory tires(P235/55R17) and 17"x8" Ford Black Bullitts. I was going to go with the 18"s, however, decided that I liked the more tire/classic/retro look. Also cheaper, I had the dealer swap them out before I even saw the car... plus over-coming the the whole tire monitoring system "thing" on 07s.

I dislike the scoop, looks typical. not a fan of the "281" sticker. I like the Mustang littering on the tail, very retro. All I can say is " Get modding"!!

Very, VERY nice. I love your hood. The hood scoop on mine is part of the GTAP. I'm still not 100% on the 281. Like the engine bay- A LOT!

Thanks. I ordered it from ssinserts.com. It was a little pricy- $19.95 plus shipping(an insane $14). I do like it though. It really looks OEM in person.
