Kicker is going to provide the speakers for Project Source Horse. We're getting the almost same setup used on the 2005 Mustang that Chip Foose modified on Overhaulin'.

Well its not exactly the same. Ours will be making a bit more power, but the compenents are the same, except with an extra amp.

Is there still room for the spare tire? looks like that could be a tight fit if its still there.

I have been debating on taking out the spare to fit the amps down there. Swap some tire lbs for some audio lbs Do you have the 500 or the base system right now.

I will be modifying the door panel to accept the bigger (front to back) SS Series SSMB8 (Mid-Bass 8") speakers.

These will be ran off the rear channel of the SX700.4 amplifier.

I will probably put dynamat in as well behind the sub, but I havent had it opened up yet to see what all I have to work with.

In the end, it will look like this pic, except we are going to take the speaker guard off and custom paint it, color undecided as of yet.

Scott, contact Cracker as he still has pretty much all his stereo install equipment. Even if he can't help out, you could probably borrow his tools and save you some headache. Believe me, after that stereo install we did in my Mustang the right tools make a huge difference.

Would be very interested in details on the 8" speaker covers. I replaced mine and have not yet found a suitable replacement cover. I attempted to reuse the stock rings with a metal cover siliconed inside of it. Still had no way to attach it so I used 3m tape. Works OK but the tape has to stick to the gasket on the speaker because the stock ring is bigger than the speaker. The gaskets are just about to the point of needing to be reglued to the speakers because of the viberation. So any info would be appreciated
