This version doesn't look like it allows any track control or in-car charging ability ![Frown](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Where is the link to the one that is 84.29 or whatever? That should be the updated version that KC was talking about before the site re-design...

I just asked my parts manager about this, as I work at a Ford dealership, and have been waiting for this to arrive. He called the warehouse to ask about it, and its to be released on 5/23, as what the guy told him. So right now, from what I understand, is that it can be backordered.

Honestly I'd rather buy a Belkin TuneBase if they are only going to release the "original" version of the Trip Tunes...I need something that CHARGES my iPod in the car as it plays!

Ordered on 05/12/2006, received on 05/24/2006. (75.00) Have to download Install instructions from Ford site, not included. Seems to controll audio only, NO RECHARGE ABILITY on first look. Will do install this Sunday, let you know how it turns out

Install was simple, but sound quality not the greatest, a bit of interference on 88.3 band, moved to 88.1 and it was a little better. I would wait for the "next generation" unit, supposed to be a better unit, and direct wire too! KC...any info on this?

GOOD FIND LEGEND!!! This is what the Trip Tunes device should have been from the get go. A digital AUX button system, not an FM modulated unit. I may just spring for this device in the next day or so. Again, good find dude.

well one month later and i broke down and bought the frd04.
installation was a snap. needed to take the console out, front control plate, side panels, and finally the radio. 14 scews holds all that in place.
connected the harness. spliced into the power outlet for the ground and constant 12v. took 1 hour from start to finish.
It sounds great with my Ipaq. Kool how a headphone icon is displayed when the AUX button is depressed.
The only thing i didnt like was being dinged for $40 brokerage fee from UPS. Last time i purchase something from someone who ships UPS.
