I went to the local dealer today, and showed them the pitted, and bubbled emblem on the steering wheel air bag. The parts guy was unable to find a definitive part number, as the one he found stated "includes GT500 and Cobra", but made no mention of the stock Mustang. He was concerned about ordering the wrong part. He did check for a TSB on the issue, but found none. This is a small dealership in South Dakota, and they do an outstanding job servicing the car, even though I purchased it in Texas, before my transfer here. I am the first person to bring this problem up, to them, but probably won't be the last.

I would appreciate anyone knowing the part number for the Air Bag assembly, on a GT, posting it so I can take it in the next time I go in for service.

I have done a search in this area, as well as other threads, but without success. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem and my dealer replaced the airbag cover under warranty. I will check the part number for you, when I get home.
