05 Style Centers

I Have had a few calls where some Pre 05 Mustang owners wanted the spinners for their cars and also some 05 owners who wanted Running Ponies for their Aftermarket Bullits. I can't help the Spinner Requests but if your Aftermarket bullits use the Recessed style Center Caps These should do the deed! Notice how the Machining is Different on the two wheel centers!

New 06/17/05 [attachmentid=24840]

These are the 2007 Shelby Center Caps installed on a 2004 Prior Style Bullit. These should also work well on the Replica Bullitts. They would have to be turned down to fit an 05 Bullit. FYI

KC,
Which caps are those with the chrome ring? '05? Are you saying you know those will fit normal aftermarket Mustang wheels? (the ones with the Cobras on them)
I just bought the new black FR500 replicas and they have that same "Cobra" center cap. One thing I'm worried about though is the thickness. I just took mine out and they have a REALLY thick clear plastic layer on them.
How much for a set of '05 caps? (36303) What about a set of '04's?
Thanks.

Do you know if they will come out with a different center cap for the Upgraded 17" wheels? I would rather have a pony than a "ford' logo. what about any for next year that might fit the 05?

Ok. I took the '05 "Ford" cap off mine and tried it in the FR500 wheels. The diameter of the lip of the '05 cap is too large. The rest of the cap seems to be the same size and would fit fine if I took a little bit off that lip.

The is nothing cataloged at this Time for the 05 upgrade Wheels. A hole saw and some Bullit Caps is the only option I can think of at this time.

When you say "turned down" to fit the '05 Bullitt wheel, do you mean make them a smaller diameter or not as thick?

BTW, the '04 Bullitt ponies fit PERFECT in my FR500's. (probably fit better than the cheesy cobra ones that came with the wheels)

The 07 Shelby Caps should Fit perfect in your wheels.Look Damm good too! The Outside diameter of the Shelby Cap would have to be turned down to fit an OE Ford 05 Bullit.

The reason I ask, is the "Cobra" caps that came with my wheels and the '04 pony caps fit into the hole of the '05 bullitt rims without being "turned down". They just stuck out a little bit. So I would assume the SVT caps would also.
I have to disagree with the SVT caps looking good on my wheels. The car's not SVT.

What do you have to replace the spinners on 05 16" Premium wheels? I've lost one spinner already and am looking for a simple cap to replace, and hopefully stay on longer!

That is supposed to be a option on those wheels on the 2006 mustang.
